It's hard to say until we see the quality of the Giants' opponents should they repeat. All I know is last year's feat was very impressive. Bucs, Cowboys, Packers (all away games) and then the undefeated Patriots. Brutal playoff schedule and they cleaned house. And where would the 07-08 Giants fit in should they repeat?
Once they win we can talk about this.Die said:a. 66-67 Packersb. 72-73 Dolphinsc. 74-75 Steelersd. 78-79 Steelerse. 88-89 49ersf. 92-93 Cowboysg. 97-98 Broncosh. 03-04 PatriotsRank those teams. And where would the 07-08 Giants fit in should they repeat?
Nice break down. It's easy to forget that despite a very impressive play-off run the GMen lost 6 games last year and, in another era, may have missed the play-offs entirely.Based on winning % . . .b. 72-73 Dolphins 32-2-0 .941h. 03-04 Patriots 34-4-0 .895g. 97-98 Broncos 33-6-0 .846d. 78-79 Steelers 32-6-0 .842c. 74-75 Steelers 28-5-1 .838f. 92-93 Cowboys 31-7-0 .816a. 66-67 Packers 25-6-1 .797e. 88-89 49ers 30-8-0 .789i. 07-08 Giants 29-10 .744

i agree, but they would've been at the bottom of the list.last year was a historically lucky run. just so improbable.. it took me 10 months to get over how disgusted i was before i could start watching football again in late NovemberGood thing we won't have to debate this.
Nice prediction on the PANTHERS BEATING THE GIANTSPre-salary cap era:Tier I:72-73 Dolphins74-75 SteelersTier II:88-89 49ers92-93 Cowboys78-79 SteelersSalary cap era:Tier I:03-04 PatriotsTier II:97-98 Broncos08-09 Giants(?)Comparing back to back winners from the different eras is (very) subjective.I believe your question is moot, however, as I expect the Panthers to beat the Giants.edit: I don't have any frame of reference on the 60s packers, so I left them out.
Apparently I gave both teams too much credit.Nice prediction on the PANTHERS BEATING THE GIANTSPre-salary cap era:Tier I:72-73 Dolphins74-75 SteelersTier II:88-89 49ers92-93 Cowboys78-79 SteelersSalary cap era:Tier I:03-04 PatriotsTier II:97-98 Broncos08-09 Giants(?)Comparing back to back winners from the different eras is (very) subjective.I believe your question is moot, however, as I expect the Panthers to beat the Giants.edit: I don't have any frame of reference on the 60s packers, so I left them out.
Nope. Patriots won more games and didn't have any firearms arrests.I could go on but these are the two most noteable differences.Sorry about your luck Giants fans. Better luck next year. This year's Giants are right up there with last year's Patriots IMO.-QG
Other differences: Patriots were fined more often for cheating and had more players suspending for being on the juice.Best luck to your Pats next year as well!Nope.
