Someone alert Andy Samberg. There's a challenger for his claim to the "damn funniest guy" on Earth title.God this Finley stuff is so lame.

Watch out for Pettigrew. I see great potential in Hernandez but I think the hype on him is just below the preseason Finley hype (with much less stupidity attached to it at this point).

I believe Hernandez is on pace for over 1,000 yards receiving.

Each week I tell myself Mercedes Lewis isn't for real...and yet each week, there he is, amongst the top TE's.

Interesting to see Winslow not listed in anyone's top ten yet....
I have to admit, I just sorted my scoring list. Winslow was 12, Shiancoe was like 27th.
Shank's had a bye and been dealing with some dings and dents. I think with Moss in tow and hopefully a little health tune up over the bye, Shiancoe's value will get to where it usually is. Favre likes him a lot in the red zone.

Shiancoe might be getting some Moss-love. Some increased attention to the edges from coverage could set him up for a climb in the standings.

Hmm. What is your scoring? Even in non-PPR I don't see how Winslow could be #12.He is currently:14th in total yards.17th in # of receptions. And he has zero TDs.In my .5 PPR league Winslow is #22 and Shiancoe is #23.

Witten's top 15 at this point in PPR, with one less week than the rest of most of the top 15(only Moeaki and Hernandez have also had byes), and only two guys have him in their top 10 moving forward so far in this thread? Seems like it's time to buy on Witten.

Pettigrew just misses, but I think you could put him in a bucket with #s 7-10 on my list and any of them could wind up at any of those spots.

I can't put a guy who's getting as few targets as Lewis is getting in the top ten. Clearly, he's making the most of them so far....but I don't think it continues. The dude ain't scoring 15 TDs.

I think you make a good point on Witten. I considered him at #9-10 on my list. As for Lewis who I ranked high, the fact is the guy has 5 TDs and his crappy QB is looking for him in the red zone. I'm not a Lewis fan but I wasn't leaving the league leader in TDs from his position off my list and don't really love the guys I ranked below him enough to ding him lower. There were a lot of people that would have left VD off of a similar list early last season too and he ended up leading the league in TE TDs in a breakout season. After Week 5 the perpetual fantasy tease everyone had given up on was hovering around 270 yards with 3 TDs.

My point is you never know when a previously hyped guy might finally break out. I think Lewis is worth a look to people who lost Finley. Lewis' yardage is not stellar (sub-200), but TDs are TDs.

ETA: As I said in my original post in the thread I too really like Pettigrew as well, and plan to keep an eye on him. If I lose out on Lewis on waivers this week to replace Finley I'd gunning for Pettigrew or Moeaki (all others I listed are rostered).

Moaeki's upcoming schedule is against some of the weakest pass defenses in the league. This could be a nice pickup.

Yeah, KC has Houston, Jacksonville, Buffalo, and Oakland coming up. Jac and Buf are home games. Buffalo might have a decent pass defense but they still give up a ton of yards and look what Mercedes Lewis did this past week.

I don't know if it's changed after the last game, but before the Chiefs played the Colts, about 1 in 3 pass attempts from Cassel were thrown to Moaeki.

Heath Miller has as good a chance as anyone to land it the bottom of the top 10. Don't really see him cracking the elite level.

Needless to say, he was the Chiefs' leading receiver against the Colts. Unsure of targets but he got 'er done.

This is what's so intriguing...the Chief's passing attack sucks. Would you rather have your guy get a large slice of a small pie? Or just a small slice of a huge pie (ie Hernandez)?

Why without Finley why not just post with the injury in mind?

He was hurt last year and anyone who had him should have factored that threat in.

This.Amazing to me some of the names coming out ahead of Witten. Romo is a threat to throw for 300+ every week and he loves Witten. The targets tell the story: 8, 8, 8, 9. Not too many TEs are getting that sort of opportunity every week. Production is almost certain to follow.
