With Alexander hurt, I was curious as to who members would put in their top five if they had to do a redraft cheatsheet.

My top five would be:

Tomlinson

L. Johnson

Portis

Westbrook

Rudi Johnson

If Alexander makes a quick and complete comeback, I would put him at number four, behind Portis. I just think that a foot injury could hamper him quite a bit.

In my PPR league right now it shapes up in this order for points per game:1.Brian Westbrook2.Larry Johnson3.Frank Gore-living off of those first two games4.LT5.Tiki6.SJaxI'd slide Westbrook down to 5 because he's going to get hurt, take Gore out, and slide everyone else up.

To think, I scoffed a bit at the team that took W'brook in the 1st and another team that took Gore in the 2nd in a 12-teamer

I'm still thinking they should sell high

Wow, it looks like I'm not alone in thinking that Alexander is not going to be the same, even if he does come back.

Tomlinson

Johnson

Jackson

Rudi

Portis (A quote from draft day..."I can't believe I got a top 5 RB at 19th overall". There were giggles in the room) :banned:

I'd easily put Alexander up there as the 4a or 4b, but there just isn't enough solid information on how bad his injury could be. I try to base my rankings on how I see their 1 for 1 trade value. At the moment I would rather take more sure of a bet with the rest of the 6.

that's awesome. It's still gonna take the whole year to see if it pays off, but when Portis is live he's tough to beat. The lowest I saw him go was 8th... 19th is amazing.

Westbrook won't last.

People are just far too ignorant when it comes to considering opposition.

Houston, New York and San Fran? Good places to start your offense. And Westbrook gets yet another creampuff tonight.

But it's all downhill from here.

LT2

LJ

sJax

rudi

portis (who i got a second rounder, but lets not forgeet, that injury couldve been much worse, but how can't you take a shot on top 5 rb?, all you had to do is handcuff betts for insurance)

Seriously though, all the top 3 had issues- LJ ans SA had o line/full back issues and LT2 has a rookie QB, there was good chance one of these guys wasnt going to live up to expectations at some point

I think that Tatum Bell is getting ready to suprise alot of people now that he's not sharing carries....He has the ability to EASILY be a top 10 back and probably top 5

You usually need anywhere from 250-275 points to be RB5. Westbrook already has 72 through 3 games. He currently has a 6 point lead and hasn't played yet this week. His schedule will get tougher, but he may have built himself a big enough lead that it won't matter in the final rankings. If he plays 15 games, he'll be top 5.What's the least amount of touches for a top 5 RB?

Absolutely agree, I'm going to be checking his health every Monday morning from here on out. I was hoping for Fitz at 19, but Portis fell into my lap, after the initial shock I couldn't refuse taking him. Wound up with Boldin at 22 instead. But I hope I can giggle at my buddies at the end of the year while holding the trophy again!

LJ and LT are for sure.

Rudi, Westy, and Portis are there for now, but I can forsee them overtaken due to injury or an the emergence of a young stud.

TBell, Maroney,FWP and JJones all have a chance to work their way into the top 5.

I would have Michael Turner a LOT higher than most as well, somewhere around 15 or 16. He's clearly going to get enough work to make his mark, and in the event LT gets hurt, Turner vaults to the top-3.

1. Portis

2. Rudi

3. McGahee

4. Frank Gore

5. S-Jax

6. Dunn

7. Julius Jones

8. LT2

9. Chester Taylor

10. Mike Vick

I really want to believe this, and I'm a fan of the Burner, but would you really trade Portis, Alexander, Rudi or SJax for Turner, even in a redraft, if LT went down for the season? He wouldn't be the first backup to make his mark, but I'm just not sure here. Top 10... ok.

We drafted while his injury sounded serious, and he slipped to 17. (I took Jordan ahead of him :bag: )

Tonight, everyone who passed on Westbrook for the upteenth time remembers why they did. Let someone else have that headache.

I got portis at 2.07 in a 12 team high stakes league. Along with Steven Jackson who I got in the first round. My team is 4-0 so far, and dominating in total points. Now it looks like I'm going to have two top 5 RB's, and am pretty much a lock for some big money barring injury. As for my rankings:

1. LT

2. Portis

3. LJ

4. Rudi

5. S-Jax

Actually, I own Westbrook and am very happy with him (based on value), but he's absolutely not top five and I said this way before his latest hangnail incident.

If Westbrook is "healthy"

LJ

LT2

Westbrook (PPR especially)

Portis

Rudi

Guy who with schedule and offense that gets close in PPRs

K. Jones (I'm not a Lions fan either!)

Guy who no one is talking about but could finish top five:

McGahee if he can start finding paydirt

Guy that will kill you when you play against him in the playoffs

Shaun Alexander

Its way to early for big money locks. I am very very hesitant of SJax. Look at the cake schedule he has had. He has played well, but only 1 TD after player SF, Zona, and Detroit really concerns me.
