ranking Helu (1 Viewer)

I find it curious that the latest fbg ranking still has Helu above the likes of ingram wells, Tate, quizz etc.

Can anyone tell me why that is? Also, would you keep helu with an 8th rd pick in a ppr league

some poor SOB is going to draft all three redskins backs, Helu, Royster and Hightower... and then Shannahan will declare Alfred Morris to be the man. stay away that situation is nuclear and will only drive you mad.

It's interesting...the dynamic of the running QB(RGIII) is generally good for the RBs YPC as they can't be keyed on, but it can hurt TD production.

I like Helu the most and think he is decent value in RB heavy leagues.

I think Helu is the most talented back in Washington. However, he lacks the ability to move a pile which will hurt his TD numbers. He's very explosive though and thus doesn't need a huge amount of carries to be fantasy relevant. He also gets added bonus in PPR leagues.

Royster is a less explosive, but more powerful version of Helu. He figures to be at the least, the best goal line back.

I wouldn't touch Hightower. He's a decent back, but coming off injury with 2 capable backs in front of him.

Shanahan has recently developed a bad reputation for his RB situation and admittedly most of it's deserved. But on the other hand, he does usually stick with his guy in each game. If you look over the course of last season, it was usually 1 guy getting 65-75% of the carries in each game. Just not the same guy week in and out. That said, I don't think it's that much of a headache to grab Helu and Royster, both of whom are relatively cheap, and play whoever starts the game. It's just something you'd have to stay on top of and make sure you're starting the right guy and if in doubt have a capable safety net to start instead.

Achilles Tendon not scaring you, Modog?
Scaring me from what? He said he dealt with the same issue last year and that it's minor. What I expect is that Royster probably opens the season (if healthy) as starter and will continue as such until he either a) become ineffective, b) puts the ball on the ground a few too many times, or c) get hurts. At that point, the next person (most likely Helu if healthy) will get his opportunity, until they do one of a, b or c. If I could only draft 1 washington RB, redraft I take Royster, he's got first crack at the job and who knows, maybe he does just enough to keep it all year. In Dynasty, I take Helu, just think he's more talented.

I'm not sure why Helu is still ranked higher than those other backs.I know Helu has talent, but he's part of nasty RBBC in Washington that guarentees nothing except for headaches and disappointment for whomever owns their fantasy backs. For that reason alone, i'd rank EVERY Washington back lower than any back that has some slight weekly upside to them.Helu should only be ranked higher than those backs if we get confirmation that Hightower, Royster, and Morris all are out for the year on IR.

Think even Helu was worried about this Achilles injury, even though he said he has them in the past. But thx, i might change my keeper from Little to Helu. I think Little can still be taken in the 9th-12th, but Helu will be gone
