Raspberry Pi 3 - $35 computer (2 Viewers)

I spent a lot of time sifting through the previous huge trove of nes and snes games i wanted on there, instead of copying them all. If I have to do that again I might cry.

My 12 year old is really getting into coding. We're getting him a Pi starter kit Shown here for his birthday on 12/14.

I know nothing about the Pi. What kind of accessories would be good to get him? Should I just wait and see what he decides he wants for it?

ETA : I have no idea what he's going to do with it. I'd be happy if he built a NES/Atari/Sega emulator

Going thru the process of attempting to make a Plex Server out of a Pi. I started with one of the beautiful things about the device, I just popped out the SD card that I had the Retro-Pie on, and started with a new one! It's like a brand new machine, and I still have the other, so that I can put one of the cards in a new one if I decide to go with the Pi for a server.

If you are using a Mac, there is an app for installing the img file onto a SD card. Nice and easy. It is called ApplePi Baker I believe (I haven't tried it yet, waiting until I'm finished with my setup) that there is a way to make a b/u of the card. It is in a GUI, and it is best of all, FREE!

Has anyone had success with a Raspberry Pi 3.0 as a Plex server?
