I had to laugh when Rome said that the NFL fined Brady for being "unathletic" and he probably has 10 G stuck between his couch cushions.

The fine amounts were negotiated as part of the collective bargain agreement. Gore was fined more because he is a repeat offender of violating the uniform code, and the CBA says that a player is fined $10.5K for the number of violations Gore now has. Brady was fined less because he's only a first time offender, and the first fine for Brady's type is infraction is $10K. These fine amounts were set in stone long ago.
