Ravens Monday practice injury update, RB Lewis practices

Written by: Associated Press ¦ 8/28/2006

Source:

Running back Jamal Lewis (strained left hip flexor) returned to practice after an initial announcement that he would miss the rest of the preseason. It's unlikely that Lewis will play in the preseason finale against the Washington Redskins. ... Safeties Gerome Sapp (illness) and B.J. Ward (migraines), offensive guard Brian Rimpf (hamstring) and wide receiver Matt Cherry (shoulder) didn't practice.

I like him as a pick in the later rounds. Don't think many will have him on their radar.
Personally, I have him as my RB #12 overall. :hey:

Jamal has looked pretty strong from what I've seen so far. He seems to have the drive in his legs that he was lacking last season. Based on my draft position (#7 in a 10-team league), I doubt I'll be able to get him at a value spot, but if I can, I will snap him up. I'm a Ravens homer, and to tell you the truth, I'm not worried at all about Mike Anderson stealing too much from Jamal. I think, actually, that this year Musa Smith could be the Ravens' sleeper at RB.

I recently got him late third and likely could have waited later. I offered him straight up for Harrison to a guy with crap for RB (Barlow and someone worse) and it was flat rejected.

Grabbed him at 7.01 in a 10-teamer last night. He kept sliding, I think everyone just forgot about him. Glad to hear he's back out there on the practice field. Last time he was on my roster? the 2000 yard season. get those legs churning, Jam!!!

i will admit im worried about him, but getting him late i toke a shot, hopefully he will put up atleast 1000+ and 10+ tds they do have a decent def. and off.
