Ray Rice and the international bowl (1 Viewer)

end of 3 quarters and he has 32 carries and 272 yards. I've never seen him before. How good is he?

And WTF is a bowl game being played in Toronto? The bowl season has lost all relevance.

first round material imo, but yeah this is the very reason why I hate the bowl system, completely over saturated .

This Bowl game would draw a decent crowd up here if they had it on any other day.

This is two years in a row now where the International Bowl falls on the same day as Canada playing for the World Junior Hockey Championship Gold, the beginning of the NFL playoffs, and the Leafs game in Toronto tonite.

Good idea, but such poor planning, and it hasn't even been advertised two years in a row now. :lmao:

Was just looking at a mock from hailredskins and seen him in the 2nd round to the G-Men.

Makes sense since Ward will be an UFA.

Jacobs + Rice = wow.

Rice showed some speed today on that 90 yard run. If he can convince pro scouts he has enough speed to bounce some runs to the outside, he may sneak into the end of round one. Hes one tough runner.

He put a nasty stiff arm on the DB on that play.

Happily I was taping the game for a Break Down the Tape segment. I had an earlier game taped, but my DVR got fried. Looking forward to watching it.

i live in NJ and have seen pretty much every game Rice has played at Rutgers. I'm a big fan of his, I think he runs hard and he's a smart player. That said, I dont see any way he's a first round pick. He doesn't have top end speed and the comparison to Westbrook in this thread could not be further from accurate. He's a bruiser than can hit the occassional homer. I would say closest thing to Larry Johnson in this year's draft, although LJ is more talented IMHO. I think Rice will be a nice pro, should be a second rounder and will have a nice NFL career. Not sure he's a star at the next level, he's logged A LOT of carries over the past few years at Rutgers. That being said, if he somehow lands in a great situation with a good line like AD did this year, he'll be very productive. I'd be happy with him on a dynasty roster for sure

From a dynasty perspective, if Rice lands in Cleveland, I think he becomes RB5 in this year's rookie draft - provided Felix Jones declares

i agree in thinking Ray Rice does not remind me of Westbrook at all. People seem to be too quick to compare a college RB to Westbrook for the simple reason that the college RB is good at catching the ball out of the backfield.

Don't need him they have very similar yet much cheaper Bradshaw.
i agree that the Giants dont need him, but Bradshaw is not similar to Rice at all. Rice is much more powerful and bradshaw is probably a bit faster.

Ray Rice = Curtis Martin. RayRay can only hope he has half the career that Martin had, but their running styles are very similar.

regardless of who/what he is, he needs to come out this year. His stock won't go any higher and Schianno is gonna run him into the ground

No brainer for Rice to leave. He has nothing more to prove and he loses 3 key senior O Lineman.

His stock is just going to rise and rise once he declares. He has the perfect running style to be a success in the NFL.
