RB Maroney - OUT (1 Viewer)

Running back Laurence Maroney and rookie Chad Jackson didn't make the trip to Florida. Each was downgraded to out, the former with a back injury and the latter with an ailing groin.

The other downgrades are linebacker Eric Alexander (shoulder), safety Rashad Baker (thigh), and tackle Ryan O'Callaghan (neck)

He's been a little on injury prone side this year. Hope that doesn't play out over his career.
Hey Pebbles,What else has plagued Maroney besides this most recent injury? I can't remember. Can you remind me?
Not very serious knee issues early in the year, and not very serious ankle issues at midseason, I don't believe he actually missed any playing time.
And a concussion against the Lions. It's not a big deal but it was just in the back of my mind that he seems to be nicked up a bit for a guy who's only logged 150 carries.

As a Maroney owner I am glad he's out this week. I'm sure he could probably play if it were a playoff game but I'd rather him rest and be ready for HOU next week in Foxboro. Also, this will give Dillon plenty of work against a rugged MIA defense. Dillon should be pooped for the HOU game, right?

What are your guys projections for Dillon after hearing Maroney is out? Last game against Miami he had 10 for 45 yds.

I think his projections have to go up. I think he will have about close to 20 carries. With the news of Maroney being out I am starting him over Dunn.

Concern yourself with the Miami run D, but this is a definite bump in Dillon's value and projections.

Don't forget BB will still be looking to give him some rest IF he has the opportunity. Before Maroney got hurt, the strong rumors were that that was the plan. If they're up a couple TDs early, I'm fearful Pass+Evans will get most of the work and just hoping he gets one of those TDs.
