Redraft pick number 2 ....2/3 turn help (1 Viewer)

Start qb, 2 RB, 2 wr, flex, te, k, def

1 ppr, get rtn stats

Gonna go bell no question at 2.

But really struggling with strategy at 2/3.

Real good chance gronk is there.  I would take him.  If not I was thinking best 2 wr on the board.  But I absolutely hate the RBS that come back in the 4/5.  Been thinking about going wr/RB.  Maybe mcaffery or gurley?  Thoughts?  Too early for cmc?  I think he's a strong rb2 at worst.

Is your FLEX a traditional FLEX (RB/WR/TE)?  I agree Bell at #2.  I think 2nd round is way too early for CMC.  All drafts I've seen him he is going at the 3/4 turn or mid 4th round.  If you went Bell at 1.02, Gurley at 2.11, you could double up on WR/WR at 3.02 and 4.11.  If Gronk was there at 2.11, that would be appealing also.  You could also do WR at 2.11 and RB at 3.02, then go either RB/RB, WR/RB, or RB/WR at 4.11 and 5.02.

IMO, I would highly consider taking Kelce at 3.02 if Gronk is gone in second round.  Kelce could finish #1 fantasy TE overall this year... the KC offense is supposed to be opened up alot more with Alex Smith this year

Possible combos you could end up with after 5 rounds

Bell, Gronk, Gurley, Tate, Davante Adams (picked rounds 1-5 in that order)

Bell, Gurley, Cooks, Mixon, Terrelle Pryor  (picked rounds 1-5 in that order)

Bell, Baldwin, Kelce, Ty Montgomery, Landry (picked rounds 1-5 in that order)

Bell, Dem Thomas, Kelce, Ty Montgomery, Mark Ingram (picked rounds 1-5 in that order).

The longshot is hoping that Zeke falls to you at 2.11, so if you like that you would end up with Bell, Zeke, WR, WR, TE  OR  Bell, Zeke, TE, WR, WR after 5 rounds.  If you did that method, snag McFadden in the later rounds of the draft.  Crowell in round 3 or 4 is a very nice pickup too if he's your RB2 paired with a stud WR or TE.

Does that help?

*EDIT* - in one of my drafts this year that I completed on 8/20/17 (1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 FLEX (RB/WR/TE), 1 DEF, 6 bench) .5 PPR 6 point passing TD, keeper league that has to come from the 4th round or later the previous years draft and costs you the round you drafted him in, my first 5 picks were (I had #6 overall spot) were:

Evans, Cooper, Hopkins, McCaffery, Ingram.. Kelce was my keeper in round #6 (I drafted him last year in round #6).

If you can hold off until 3rd or 4th to grab McCaffery and you love him, take him as your RB2.

Thanks for the in depth answer.  Yeah cmc is going 3rd round at worst.  I won't get him if I don't at the 2/3.  I'm out on Elliott.  Too much of a headache.  It's gronk or wait for te for me.  So I guess it's either 2 wr.  Gronk plus wr, or wr plus cmc

I still think trying to lock into a position situation is a bad idea.  I go BPA especially at the 2/3 turn.  I don't worry so much about a particular position.  If you don't like the RB's staring at you at that point then go with WR's.  Personally I wouldn't take the risk on McCaffrey at that spot.  Way to early for me.

100% agree with this

Yeah that's what most people are telling me.....hoping for gronk or top wr to fall

In a PPR I'd happily take Gronk and a WR at the 2/3 turn after getting Bell in the first.  The trick is going to be, do you take Gronk in the 2nd or risk the guy behind you taking him with one of his two picks?  Probably be better to take Gronk at 2.11 unless you know the guy won't go TE that early.  If there's a chance he takes him with his double picks, then take Gronk and be prepared to be happy with one of the 3-4 WRs are left.  You didn't say how many teams in your league, but that will be the difference between having Baldwin/Pryor/Cooks available vs. Hopkins/Jeffery/DThomas.  If you go Gronk, and the next guy doubles up on two WRs then you better be happy with the one that's left

its a 12 team league. got inside knowledge now that brady, rodgers, and gronk will be taken before my second round pick.  so some great wr are going to be there
