Reggie Brown (1 Viewer)

Risky proposition. When/if Stallworth returns Reggie Brown's value can/will take a big hit. When Stallworth was in/healthy he seemed to be McNabb's favorite target.

He doesn't get enough targets.

In 6 games he's had 39 targets: 6.5 per game

Whereas,

Harrison in 5 games has 52: 10.4 per game

Chad in 5 games has 47: 9.4 per game

I doubt Brown will see enough of an increase in targets to put him ahead of either of those two.

From a Reggie Brown owner: I think he's solid but still 2nd/3rd tier, and only as long as Stallworth is out... once Stallworth gets back (or maybe knowing him I should say "if") I'll take a wait and see attitude to his value...

I think Baskett will see less targets with all his drops. Therefore increasing Browns targets. When and if Stallworth comes back, the offense in general will be better. I don't think this is such a negative form Brown as you think. Brown might start getting covered by the 2nd best corner on the team.

The targets thing definitely concerns me, especially considering he's something like 2nd in the league in drops.

I was able to get Tatum Bell for him in my money league...if you can acquire a RB like that or a top WR, do it!

RB's stock is rising, hopefully (from an owner) he can stick as McNabb's go-to.

Harrison has seen his best days, but still is a top-ten guy.

Chad is quietly (that's wierd) waiting for Palmer to get healthy (maybe in 2007?)

Good question though!

Im so high on Brown for the rest of the year and I think he can be a great WR3 from here on out. Thats why Im trading one of my other WRs like Driver.

The Eagles philosophy is similar to the Pats where they don't have a #1 WR (though this was obviously different when TO was here). McNabb will continue to spread the ball around. This year he's been looking to go downfield a heck of a lot more, which is why I'd put a healthy Stallworth ahead of Brown.

But Brown will get plenty of chances...but like Pats WRs...it'll be hard to figure out which game.

Going forward I'd say Brown is a decent fantasy #2 and an extremely solid #3.

You guys get caught up in too much analysis. You also get caught up in too much name recognition....let's look at pure production (I don't care if Carson throws 7 incompletions to CJ a game, you don't get points for those)

My top fantasy WRs in a NON PPR league:

1. Holt

2. Coles

3. Reggie Brown

he hasn't had a bye week, but he also has only had one game where he did not at least score or go over 100 yards....that is as consistent as you can get.

Only Torry Holt has scored more TDs from the WR position than Brown (don't forget R. Brown also has a rushing TD). Brown has 5 TDs, Holt has 7 TDs.

He is at worst a very high end #2 WR.

Don't know how you ranked them, but the top WRs in a standard fantasy scoring system with no PPR, on a per game average, are Holt, Steve Smith & TJ Houshmandzadeh.Agree that he is a high-end #2, which he is, but #3 overall (and Coles #2?).

He has been great value for where you got him... and one thing is for sure; the longer that Stallworth (the new Pinkston) is out.. the more Chemstry Brown and McNabb make..

I do have a question; isn't Stallworth in a contract yr.. and if so, what are the chance that Philly signs him?

He signed a 6 year contract in July 2002. So he will not be a free agent unless there is something in the contract saying he or the team can buy out the last year.

I didn't say on a per game basis....it's an overall basis. Heck I even said he has one more game than the others to put it in perspective. That is why I say, consider him at worst a high end #2....he has played more games than most and you have to factor that in.
