Reggie Bush on MNF (1 Viewer)

I'm curious if Hall be used on Bush when he lines up as a receiver. That will be interesting. How much has Bush lined up outside so far this season?

Reggie is a primetime player. He is going to do everything in his ability to show the nation that he is as good as the hype surrounding him.
Are you suggesting that when Reggie is playing on a Sunday afternoon game, he doesn't use his full ability?
No he gives a 110% on Sunday afternoons, 120% on Monday evenings. Expect a 8.3% increase in effort. :)
Wouldn't that be 9.1%?Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised to see a "Randy Moss-type" coming out party. 2 total TD's, 130 total yds and one or two highlight reel plays. I don't even have him on any teams but I just think he'll be out to show the nation he should be considered elite.

With all the hype this game is getting, I wouldn't be surprised to see

a) an Atlanta blowout win.

b) Warrick Dunn being the best player on the field that few people talk about still.

I hope A isn't the case, obviously. But MNF often does supply some disappointing games.

:goodposting: This has all the makings of a Monday night TRAP!!!

I still think the Saints win this game. I'm also hoping for Bush to have his first truly dynamic game of the season. I think 55 yards rushing/60 yards receiving and a TD is very possible but what I'm really hoping for is something along the lines of 75 yards rushing/75 yards receiving and 2 TDs.I'm pouring the drinks for the Bush Kool-Aid tonight. Everybody step up and let's knock 'em back. :D
Sorry, kid, they all got on the bus with me.I'm :drive:

Anyone thinking Bush will have a good game tonight is NUTS. He was contained by the Packer defense for christ's sake. He may end up being Walter Peyton, but not yet. Nowhere near it yet.

You're driving which means you can't be drinking. I'll handle all of that. ;)

I see him with 40 rushing yards, 7 rec for 145 yards (breaks off a long one) and a TD, and one Bush push that shoves Brees into the endzone.

I don't think he's going to have a great game, either, but I do think he'll get his first touchdown. As I stated earlier in the thread, I feel very strongly that they will give him all the goal line touches in this one.I see a 9 carries for 30 yards, 6 catches for 45 yards with some sort of touchdown along the way- kind of night for him.

I love me some Reggie Bush but the people predicting 120+ yards in receptions aloen need to back away from the hash pipe.No way in hell does that happen. Combined I can see that yardage total from him. But alone?

..... and one Bush push that shoves Brees into the endzone.
:lmao: That I would love to see. Too bad you don't get assists in FF.

I think he blows up tonight (150 total yards and 1 TD). Reggie hasn't scored a TD, or broken a long play (i.e. 50 plus yards) all season and I think he is due. I just get the feeling it happens during his first game in New Orleans on national TV.

I have Reggie Bush on all my leagues. I fully expect him to score at least 1 TD tonight. He's going to have a big game. New Orleans needs a hero and he will be that hero tonight. My prediction:Rush: 12-60-1TDRec: 8-120-1TD
Wake up everyone............. the Falcons have allowed 0 TD's & 9 total points in 2 games.
Yep and the Saints have scored 5 TD's & 53 total points in 2 games. The Saints are going to score some points against ATL tonight. This isn't the '85 Bears D they are facing.
Please....someone brought up schedules, The Saints played Clev and Green Bay. I am happy the city of NO is back......but Atl WILL shut down the Saints tonight.
Sure let's bring up the schedules so far. ATL shut down 0-3 Tampa and 1-2 Carolina without Steve Smith. Meanwhile the Saints have put up 53 points ON THE ROAD. The O/U for tonights game is 44.5. I'm going with the Over and some of those points will likely come from Reggie Bush.

I'm willing to bet Bush comes out of this game with more fumbles than TDs. He's going to be overly anxious. Just you wait...

Bush is always capable of a big game against anyone. The thing I like so far is that he's been very productive without the big play.

I'll take that bet.He doesn't GET nervous - he gets EXCITED. He played in two friggin nat'l champ games - that carried higher ratings than a MNF game. You think NO's first home game is what'll make him overly anxious?????

Hype of this magnitude rarely sustains itself into fruition. The Saints are going to be expecting Bush on EVERY SINGLE PLAY. Think they want highlights of Bush breaking their ankles shown on ESPN until the end of time? The Falcons might be defeated, but it won't be by Bush singlehandedly dazzling them into submission. It will be along the lines of Brees throwing to a second string TE from the six yard line.

You're obviously basing this on his college career, since he's yet to have a single one at this level.

He had a good game with the biggest play being 18 yards. At home, on turf, to say he absolutely won't have a big game is silly. People go on and on about the Saints competition, but the Browns almost beat the Ravens, and the Bucs and Panthers(without SS) offenses are terrible. No Abraham + injured Kerney = 30+ Points for NO. Falcons D hasn't been tested.

I don't like the way they are using Bush. He pretty much Brian Wesbrook the way the Saints are using him.
???That was how they always intended to use him - and how he will probably have his best games - as a bigger, faster, more talented Westbrook. IIRC, Westbrook had an awesome day yesterday - 3 tds?

Come on, do we really have to bump threads to iProve that you were right?

The Saints are praying that he someday becomes Brian Westbrook.
Well ... Westy and Bush are being used a lot differently. Sean Payton is happy to take advantage of opponents sell out to stop Bush.IMHO, if Bush were on the Eagles, he'd perform at least as well as Westbrook.
