Two carries for 2 yards in his second game as a phin. DThomas came in and has 5 carries for 51 yards. I realize there was talk of the hot hand by the coach, but how does he determine that with 2 touches by Reggie?
post of the day . . .Bush never had the torch to pass.
Thanks for that. What would we have done had we a whole half to discuss this? Thank you for saving us from ourselves...Opening back up
Except Sporano was insisting Bush would get 20 touches. I am almost positive that during the week there will be a quote to the effect of "we went away from our gameplan, we need to get Bush more touches, he'll still see 20 touches a game."Can anyone buy into that thought? Bush had 6 carries. Thomas went over 100. If Thomas takes the job I will almost be relieved because the temptation to use him will be gone. Its not like Bush could have the workload of last week all season long. I think we pretty much no what to expect with Bush by this point in his career. Decent ppr rb and a ok backup in non ppr.
hard to get receptions when youre standing on the sidelinesI don't get the dropoff in receptions. I can understand wanting to run the ball more with Thomas who was looking better....but only 1 target for Bush? That was just odd, especially with all of the 70/30 talk during the week.
That's the point - why wasn't he being used in the passing game? Why the huge dropoff in playing time?hard to get receptions when youre standing on the sidelinesI don't get the dropoff in receptions. i drafted him late in ppr. still has some value as a RB3. We know who Reggie is. There was no way he was going to be a workhorse back.
He's pedestrian in the passing game. That's the point - why wasn't he being used in the passing game? 9 receptions in week 1, including a receiving TD = confined to the sidelines in week 2?He's pedestrian in the passing game.
Henne only completed 12 passes. Bush is going to get his productin in the passing game.Agree that Sproles is an excellent value play in PPR leagues.9 receptions in week 1, including a receiving TD = confined to the sidelines in week 2?He's pedestrian in the passing game.
Completely agree. On that 4th and 1 play when they shifted to multiple wides and caught Houston with no safeties. The entire middle fo the field was wide open with a LB trying to cover Reggie in the slot. Instead of having faith in your offense (like WAS did with Grossman on 4th and 1 with game on the line) MIA went into a shell and called timeout in order to punt. Zero imagination on that offense. It was one game. Thomas looked nothing like the back he was in pre-season. As a Fins fan I am very encouraged.
With Bush I have no doubt he will be used plenty this season. Again it was one game. But this coaching staff and Sprano in particular kill me. They are just mindboggling with their packages, play calling and gameday management.
I mean really....4th quarter and your trying to bait Houston into jumping off sides on 4th and 1 from inside your 30 and then instead of taking a delay because you know your going to punt you burn a precious timeout in a 7 point game?
Fire him. This is the NFL. WTF was that.
Enough already.
LOL.........spoken like a Cal or Stanford fan that got tired of Reggie & USC kicking their heads in. BTW: I do not own Reggie. He's pedestrian in the passing game. That's the point - why wasn't he being used in the passing game? All three scored about the same; unless you were in a really tight game, I am not sure it mattered.Bush - 1 Good game; 1 Bad gameDWill - 2 Bad gamesIngram - most carries again on NO and getting the quality carries. He will get better as the season rolls along. He should not have been drafted to a starting RB in Week 1-2.Not sure what you are complaining about.Started Bush & Ingram in the league I have DWill benched. Where are :hawkscreeches: at now?![]()
