Ren's old crypto thread || we know how to buy this stuff now (1 Viewer)

There really is something to be said for holding coins with free airdrops.  Just by holding ether since March I've received a bunch of free tokens:

1 BitClave-ConsumerActivityToken

1.615 DataCoin ($.31)

777 INSP - INS Promo

0.5 JOT - JuryOnline

.95 OMG - OmiseGo ($12.97)

362.8 VIU ($3.74)

857 XENON ($50.67)

0.01 RST-P

So basically $66 dollars for nothing.  Dope

Or you can get really ####ty bitcoin forks that sell for thousands of dollars a pop.

A week ago Raiblocks was $4/coin . Now it's $11 and still early to get in.

My next pick is navcoin.
Care to elaborate? Is it just a good privacy coin? I've been watching it since it hit binance yesterday and it's been moving sideways.

Yeah.  That segwit fork was a real nightmare.  The $30 fees, excruciatingly slow confirmation times and unreliability have destroyed the whole point of its existence.  Vendors, the poor, and some of its most dedicated users have abandoned it.  It's not a currency anymore, just a digital tulip, a hodl meme for delusional pyramid schemes.  Very sad.

Based on social media ranking

https://solume.io/

it is ranked #17 and I expect Verge to be a huge bubble like doge was in 2014 and most of their buyers to find new privacy coins

I think a good buy point for nav will be at .00021-.00024. Yes it will dip.

This whole thread is pretty crazy

I remember reading about xlm a while back and thinking it looked like a solid project.  I'm putting a bch in and sitting on it for a year or two and not looking back.

I think I remember now why I stopped dabbling in alts so much.  Waiting a dickyear for the tx to confirm so I could fomo into someone else's bags

Won't spam my link here, but if anyone else is jumping on the crypto bandwagon and registering on Coinbase or Binance, and don't already have someone to invite/refer you, PM me and I'll send you my link. For Coinbase the inviter AND invitee both get $10 worth of BTC free once a deposit is made.

If Bitgrail has referrals, and anyone is on there, PM me what I need to do and I will try to get you the referral.

I made $1k off simply trading a bch for some xlm the other night.  That's like 5 days work.  If I was a little smarter I'd probably consider just doing this for a living.

  BCH is the majority of my holdings currently. Really thought it would rise a bit with the addition on Coinbase. Oops, scandal.   Next rise (if there is one), I think I'm going to move some of it out into other ventures.

Nice, Bitcoin Cash is the real Bitcoin.  It's about as solid as it gets, with architecture being built around it like a reserve currency.  It's getting its own pairings on exchanges, will easily btfo Bitcoin in BitPay merchant usage, BitMex/Xapo finished liquidating their BCH holdings into BTC, 1 satoshi / 10 bytes tx fees coming soon, colored coins, restoring deactivated op codes, thousands of people like myself shilling it all over the internet, we're comfy over here amigo.  The rocket boosters are engaged, we're cleared for liftoff and 2018 moon mission is confirmed.  The scaling debate is over and Bitcoin Cash won.

Meanwhile Bitcoin.org devs deliberate whether to update the bitcoin.org homepage to more accurately reflect the user experience since it sucks.  This thing is toast, abandon ship.

Also, I decided to gamble on a few dogs.

Bytecoin got 100k in coins at .001 at .005.

Electra got a million coins at .00009 just bought today

Lampix 2000 coins at .05 up 100%

Lampix might be legit, cool product.

These are not easy to buy as they are on small exchanges and probably not long terms holds but I see all getting 400%.

I got probably less than 500 bucks total in these.

My dog has legs.

Finally got on Binance. Guess I’m a real boy now. Going long on BAT, XLM, SUB and ADA. Probably will still get some in XRP, 0X, and TenX. Good luck gents. Anyone know a legit exchange with RaiBlocks?

BitGrail has XRB, but you have to send something else there to buy (ETH, BCC, etc), as they don't have deposits.

What's the best exchange for small caps? Cryptopia? It seems like new money loves small cap coins, it's probably a psychological thing.

God.  Raiblocks going absolutely berserk.  What I wouldn't give to have a time machine and throw some loot down on it a month ago.

This should level out if/when it gets on a real exchange.  I'd imagine it will dump extremely hard if it does.  Only $35M in volume.

@belljr

I remember you talking about xrp a long time ago and how you wanted to invest.  What made you interested in it?
When we were doing research xrp was hitching to banks and was not mineable. It seemed like the one that could go "mainstream".  And if I wasn't a dummy I would have figured out how to get money into the markets. I'm not dumb but it was all overwhelming trying to figure out so I bailed :bag: :kicksrock:

Thanks, just wondering.  I've been pretty surprised at how much appeal people have for it and was curious.

I mostly lurk on here. But you all should look into Walton Coin (WTC). I have some and from what I have seen could be very good.

Because I sold out this afternoon.  Dead serious.  I saw I had finally gotten back to even and got out.

It is on its way to the moon now.
It is a roller coaster for sure. I got in at .37  a few days ago and am kicking myself for not buying  more.

My stake in BAT +150% since getting in.

Stellar has been nice as well (+75% in a few days).

I got into XRP too late for any major gains but holding for Coinbase release.

BCH is annoying, down 25%. Not ready to lock in that loss yet.

THen have about 25% sitting in ETH, up 25% over a couple weeks.

Congrats to BAT holders, we are making it.  It's probably gone up on the forthcoming announcement from Eich about a partnership with a "top-3 NYC media co."

Thanks @bat-jennie.

As people know we're deep into Mercury phase, with a few people working on Gemini (user-private ads, anonymous revenue share to user). We did the first batch of UGP grants last month and will do more in January. We're working on creator referral awards, to pay YouTubers and site owners who bring new users to the platform as measured by 30 days uptime in Brave.

We had a successful pair of bizdev trips to NYC and London over last two months' time, getting close to announcing an ongoing partnership with a top-3 NYC media co. The tide is turning fast with publishers.
