Urban Meyer is going to be much better than most people think.

This is insane and I love it. I haven't heard anyone expecting much from the Jags but more like rebuilding. Love this hope and fireBevell's offenses have done pretty well over the years - GB ( QB coach) , Minnesota, Seattle (OC for both teams). His offenses have been good at running the football, and the passing game has been fairly prolific. I would expect him to be a great influence on Lawrence, and ETN is really going to make this passing game pop.
Urban Meyer is going to be much better than most people think, and this team should be vastly improved in 2021. I think James Robinson is about as underrated a player as you'll find. Meyer wants the Jags to have a power run game and they'll have just that with JR in the backfield. Reports from Jags camp say that Robinson is uncoverable and unstoppable , consistently ripping off big gains play after play.
Jags start the season with games against Texans, Broncos , Cards, Bengals. not hard to predict a 3-1 start to the season, you can make the case that they should destroy some of these soft defenses.
I'm going to say they win 10 games this season. Sweep Texans, split with Colts, beat Dolphins in Jax, beat Broncos, Bengals, Jets, Cards, Falcons, Niners ( west coast team traveling east for a 1pm game a recipe for disaster for SF).
not that hard to see them winning like this.
Kelly was fine and then crashed. It's dumb pride probably that the NFL (and every sports league)doesn't have 32 teams using the medical technology and gps stuff he did. Studies proved that scanning a bod for heat is predictive of injury. Will Fuller should buy one of those fancy machines- lot of heat coming from the hammies, rest bro rest.Lou Holtz, Nick Saban and Chip Kelly were pretty good college coaches who crashed and burned in the NFL.
The only sound bite I've heard so far is that Urban insist his grown men do not walk on "his practice field".
Care to elaborate why Urban will succeed?
He's a tough one for sure. "They didn't draft him to be a backup" has my head spinningThe range I see already on Travis Etienne has him getting anywhere from 1 to 12 total TDs. Can I bet the middle on that?
They've got some talent. I think a lot of fans saw Callais and Ramsey leave and brushed them off.Great question.
Hones answer is I have no idea and I have given it quite a bit of thought.
I think Lawrence means their offense improves significantly, but considering he is a rookie QB that might take some time.
I could use usual methods for projecting their offense based on last 3 seasons, but I think its going to be different than that, so I haven't.
I would love to hear others opinions about this though.
This is kind of new ground for me. Prior to the Jaguars drafting Lawrence and Travis Etienne I would have just said its the JAGs so who cares?
He throws it to ETN?They've got some talent. I think a lot of fans saw Callais and Ramsey leave and brushed them off.
Etienne was a bad pick in this WR heavy draft. Why not get Lawrence his new best friend?
Shenault is crazy interesting and fun. Chark has deep ability and he's a 2 imo. Johnson is just a guy. Marvin Jones is a 2. Austin and Dorsett are pieces. For me, if they landed a top dog alpha #1, this would be a nice group.
Without it, I wonder what Lawrence does when a top corner takes his top WR out of the game and his #2 is really smothered as well.
