Okay, I know we were originally set to start this on Monday and valence and I who were both on vacation until the beginning/middle of the week thank you for the delay, but it seems like everyone is ready to get drfating. Twilight is on vacation but will work things out as we go along and if he needs it, I have offered to play conduit for his picks.

What I don't understand - especially in the first round - is waiting almost a full day for a pick.

MPFB checked in two hours ago, was on the clock and didn't make a pick.....so we just continue to wait

ETA - okay, now I really don't know what is going on with this guy - back on the boards in the last hour and still doesn't make a pick! What's the deal? Does anybody know this guy?

Well - technically we just can't do anything until his clock runs 8 hours and expires on Monday, the 18th.

Why he would come online and not pick? - DAMM! NO IDEA!

I hope is an oversite and not him just making us wait because he wants more info between now and Monday. That would be kind of inconsiderate, even if within the rules. If that IS the case, a post saying no pick til Monday would bve great so we all know to stop checking all weekend.

Litigating a case on behalf of the attorney general against a state representative.

2. Briefing an unrelated case to the court of appeals, which I just submitted.

I never saw a pm and had I seen one could not have neglected the above duties to participate in a draft that was set to start on Mon.

In 2 minutes I need to leave to attend another meeting and will not be in a position to pick until later tonight.

Now, either everyone can accept the above or refund my $$ and find someone else.

My previous email was made in haste and I will clarify a couple of things before I pick shortly.

Once a draft begins, I will be an expedient drafter regardless of my workload. I do not assume that my job is any more important than anyone else's on this board.

I see some incorrect assumptions about my absence, although I can understand why someone may have thought that I previously checked in. It is somewhat ironic that someone would suggest that I may be waiting for FF news to break over the weekend. Ironically, I have had a media circus outside of my office building here in Raleigh the last couple of days due to Mike Nifong and his Bar Ethics hearing. I haven't had a moment to check a single news story about that, let alone check NFL news to see if there is a possibility that important NFL news may break over the weekend.

I have spent the last 3 days around the clock litigating a civil case against a State legislator and litigating a criminal appeal against a defendant who kidnapped his girlfriend for a month and nearly beat her to death everyday.

Notwithstanding this, I would have made arrangements to have my pick made in the midst of this litigation if I had known the draft started. Ufortunately, I did not know the draft began and the above work was intense enough to prevent me from doing my normal web surfing before a SSL draft begins.

All that said, I will post a pick in approx. 10 min or less.

I've just arrived in Cortez after a rather eventful day. Getting your relatively low to the ground car(350Z) stuck in deep sand on a dirt road detour to get around a Hay truck on fire is comedy at it's finest.
