Rex Grossman :Week 14 (1 Viewer)

Going up against the worst pass defense in the league? Any of you guys have the courage to start Rex Grossman this week? Of course... this is for those of you who also have another good QB that normally starts over Rex.

I might have the nerve to start Helu and Moss (over Robinson) in the same game.

I'm thinking Grossman might be a better start than Vick with thsoe facing that.

I am playing Gross Man over Vick and Roethlisberger. If I could do it over knowing how Roethlisberger did I would take what he did (21 points) but I feel The Gross Man has about a 75% of doing that or better as New England is awful and the 'Skins will be playing catch-up all day.

I have Vick penciled in my lineup as I write this but I've been back n forth!! Now that Maclin has been downgraded, of course he's one of my WR's, I think I'm scrapping the whole Eagle thing and start Rex and Gerhardt or Damian....GL to all that go with Rex!!!!!!

I know it is hard to tell on the internet, but I am just curious if you are being sarcastic or serious here. There is a lot of sarcasm in the Shark Pool as you know and it is hard to wade through. Like I said, I am playing Grossman over Vick and sincerely want to know other peoples' thoughts about the decision.

rooting for you guys, this seems like a great play.

In my mind, once Maclin was downgraded, it was time to start Rex. Obviously there's no guarantee that Vick even finishes the game. Miami's D has been playing well...maybe the run D more than the pass D but still they've been tough. I'm playing the hottest team in the league where I have this issue, who has Rodgers, and I need to swing for the fences!!! I honestly see 250/2 from Rex but the problem is...his floor can be quite low and his ceiling can be quite high...the ultimate gamble I guess. One thing that bothers me as well is the fact that he's being hyped as a good/great play this week by everyone and their brother...I haven't had much success when this kind of hype is going on but I'm all in with Rex so here we go.....

I picked him up a couple weeks ago fully expecting to start him over Rivers if I made the playoffs.

Since then, Rex looked bad against the Jets and Rivers looked great against the Jags... I won't hold the NYJ matchup against Grossman too much, but I'm leaning towards leaving Rivers in there regardless. Tough call though. I certainly think Rex has a decent showing this week.

I have him on the bench. Brady is starting. I picked him up more as insurance and to keep him from the competition. Rooting for him though. Hope its a shootout...

I'm being serious, it does sound like a great play I'd love to see some people take advantage of. I don't have him rostered, so I'll just live through you guys. If you curious Romo, Stafford, Tebow, Big Ben are my QBs, I might have considered him over Tebow.

On the fence myself right now myself. Picked him up for this game, other option is Tebow, just don't trust Shanny or Grossman after the showing last week.

I hear ya on Davis...just looked up their backup TE and even though there was good things said about Paulsen, he's not Davis by any stretch!!! I think the biggest factor going for Rex is that NE is starting 2 WR's at DB which Moss/Gaffney, being the veterans they are, should just tear up!!!!! Boy this positive thinking thing is interesting to say the least...

I am also one of the many with Vick and Grossman. Currently have Vick in, but going back and forth. Problem for me is Grossman's floor seems so low. So is Vick's, but not as low. And I don't see Grossman's upside as high as Vick's either. Also starting Santana Moss so not sure how many Redskins I wanna play either.

You guys might think that I'm crazy... but I have Cam Newton against ATL and I am seriously considering starting Grossman. In this league, the QB's don't get rush yards... although I do get the TD's if he runs one in. Cam had an awful performance last time against ATL... and I am worried that he is going to have a down game.

QB'S don't get rushing yards?

Yeah, it's a stupid rule.

starting him over Fitzpatrick in 1 league. Also starting moss in several others, over st. johnson and brandon lloyd. Playing my gut on this one, not normally my style to bench the better players and just go with a big opportunity.

Really stuck on Grossman vs. Palmer this week. Both with great match-ups but missing major pieces (Ford & Moore, Davis & Williams). Palmer facing a better ballhawking secondary on the road, Grossman at home but more likely to throw picks on his own.
