His third is the one that is usually on the money, but I find it interesting to see Gabbert fall to 12. Hard to believe that the Titans would pass over Gabbert if he was in their laps.

I would LOVE this one. I want the Bills to get Dareus so bad and then have a chance to get Locker in the 2nd. This in my opinion would be the perfect draft for the Bills.

I just don't see Fairley going before Dareus so I'm not getting my hopes up.

He had Gabbert at 12 in his first mock....this one has him going to Arizona at 5. The names in parentheses are from mock #1.

Pretty sure Mock 2 is in parentheses.
You're right. Pay no attention to the guy with the throwback Mt. Dew who has just a few minutes to scan the threads and post while on lunch. That being said, there are quite a few surprises in the second. With his third coming likely Thursday morning, I'll withhold judgement until then. As a Titans fan, I'm not sure about Fairley's motor. Seems to me like Haynesworth 2.0, which is great in contract years!

I don't think the Titans will take Fairley. They are shying away from anyone with those type of issues. Basically, Pacman, Vince Young and Haynesworth are all top ten picks that have detonated in the Titans face due to character concerns.

Many are convinced that the new regime isn't interested in continuing down that path.

His updated mock has the Titans taking Quinn, not Fairley.

Not sure why the OP set it up like that (or whatever source that he got it from had it that way). VERY confusing trying to see the names in the parentheses going down the list.I read and knew what was going on, but it would have been much easier to do it the other way (on the eyes, at least...)

1. with so many teams having question marks at QB and

2. FA not an option right now and no way of guaranteeing you can get a McNabb/Orton/Kolb etc.....

3. I just wonder if more trades will happen late in the first and teams will try to move up to get there guy at QB that they think CAR/BUF/CIN/ might be sitting on at the beginning of the second....the Lockers, Ponders, Dalton, Colin etc....

Expect NE to move both pick 28 and 33 for QB needy teams.

I think the Bears are probably in this mindset as well. I'm sure they will wait to see what OL/DL are available, but I'm pretty sure they will trade this pick and move back 10 spots or so if they can add a few more picks.

Problem is they'll most likely have to be 2011 picks.

no way AZ goes wr with the 5. really?
That's been getting a lot of traction over the last 24 hours. I guess it makes sense if they are going to play for a veteran QB in free agency, and then try to rekindle what they had a few years ago with a prolific passing attack.

The second one is so much different than the first one, I imagine the third will be completely different as well.

Also, I dont see the Titans passing on Gabbert if he is there.

I think every mock I see has NE taking Ingram with one of their first 3 picks. Just doesn't seem like a Patriot move to take a RB that early. I guess I expect them to load up with OL and front 7 help myself, but who knows.

Yeah, I would love Dareus.FWIW, Schefter was on Mike and Mike this morning and he said Carolina was between Newton and Dareus and had Denver taking Von Miller regardless. That was interesting to me since I hadn't really heard a lot of Von Miller to Denver, but Schefter still has a lot of connections in Denver so his words carry some weight with me.Schefter had the Bills taking Newton if the Panthers took Dareus. I think I'd rather they take Peterson than Newton, but understand the appeal of Newton in Gailey's system.

2. Denver: Marcell Dareus, DT, Alabama to (Nick Fairley, DT, Auburn)

Wouldn't be too schocking but looks like a pick that Rick put in to throw off the net sites who rip him off.

3. Buffalo: Von Miller, OLB, Texas A&M to (Marcell Dareus, DT, Alabama)

4. Cincinnati: A.J. Green, WR, Georgia to (Von Miller, OLB, Texas A&M)

5. Arizona: Blaine Gabbert, QB, Missouri to (A.J. Green, WR, Georgia)

I like that Rick has changed from Gabby because I think the Cards will miraculously wind up signing a veteran free agent QB when the draft is over so aren't forced to pass over a blue-chip talent at the top of the draft but I think they will take Peterson.

6. Cleveland: Patrick Peterson, CB, LSU to (Julio Jones, WR, Alabama)

If Heckertt has Peterson and Jones it will be a very-very tough pick.

7. San Francisco: Robert Quinn, DE, North Carolina to (Patrick Peterson, CB, LSU)

8. Tennessee: Nick Fairley, DT, Auburn to (Robert Quinn, DE, North Carolina)

Couple of problems with this pick but the main one is if Gabbert is there they would most like take him.

9. Dallas: Tyron Smith, OT, Southern Cal to (J.J. Watt, DE, Wisconsin)

Newman is 33 and he's their top corner and they have major leakage in the secondary so I don't see the Boys passing on Prince if he were available.

10. Washington: Julio Jones, WR, Alabama to (Prince Amukamara, CB, Nebraska)

11. Houston: Prince Amukamara, CB, Nebraska to (Cameron Jordan, DE, Cal)

12. Minnesota: Anthony Castonzo, OT, Boston College to (Gabbert, QB, Missouri)

13. Detroit: Nate Solder, OT, Colorado to (Tyron Smith, OT, Southern Cal)

14. St. Louis: Da'Quan Bowers, DE, Clemson to (Ryan Kerrigan, OLB, Purdue)

15. Miami: Mark Ingram, HB, Alabama to (Mike Pouncey, C, Florida)

16. Jacksonville: J.J. Watt, DE, Wisconsin to (Da'Quan Bowers, DE, Clemson)

I think he falls further and possibly completely out of the first round.

17. New England: Cameron Jordan, DE, Cal to (Mark Ingram, HB, Alabama)

18. San Diego: Ryan Kerrigan, OLB, Purdue to (Anthony Castonzo, OT, Boston College)

19. NY Giants: Mike Pouncey, C, Florida to (Nate Solder, OT, Colorado)

20. Tampa Bay: Aldon Smith, DE, Missouri to (Corey Liuget, DT, Illinois)

21. Kansas City: Gabe Carimi, OT, Wisconsin to (Phil Taylor, NT, Baylor)

22. Indianapolis: Corey Liuget, DT, Illinois to (Aldon Smith, DE, Missouri)

Aldon is tough to slot because you want to put his name down sooner but something makes you stop and let him slide.

23. Philadelphia: Muhammad Wilkerson, DE, Temple to (Gabe Carimi, OT, Wisconsin)

24. New Orleans: Marvin Austin, DT, North Carolina (same)

25. Seattle: Danny Watkins, G, Baylor to (Derrick Sherrod, OT, Mississippi State)

26. Baltimore: Jimmy Smith, CB, Colorado to (Cameron Heyward, DE, Ohio State)

27. Atlanta: Phil Taylor, NT, Baylor to (Kenrick Ellis, DT, Hampton)

Hmmnnn interesting. Some draftnics are really high on Ellis.

28. New England: Ryan Williams, HB, Virginia Tech to (Danny Watkins, G, Baylor)

29. Chicago: Jon Baldwin, WR, Pitt to (Muhammad Wilkerson, DE, Temple)

30. NY Jets: Aaron Williams, CB, Texas to (Brooks Reed, OLB, Arizona)

31. Pittsburgh: Cameron Heyward, DE, Ohio State to (Aaron Williams, CB, Texas)

32. Green Bay: Brooks Reed, OLB, Arizona to (James Carpenter, OT, Alabama)

It's been on the local sports stations lately in Denver that the current staff really likes Von Miller. Would the Broncos take Von Miller even if Dareus was still available? A very strong possibility actually. Also, all in all to go with Gosselin's mock... there is almost no chance the Broncos select Fairley.

With the Pats currently holding only 5 picks in the 2012 draft, I would feel very confident stating they'll be looking to accumulate picks for next year.I figure they'll try to trade down from the 28th pick to get, maybe, a 2nd round pick for this year and a 1st round pick for next year. I figure it to be the 28th pick as opposed to the 1st pick in the second round because the max length of a contract for the 28th pick is 5 years and the max length of a contract for the 2nd round picks is 4 years. That extra year, for a team likely looking to trade up for a quarterback, could be important to them.
