RIP Moses Malone (1 Viewer)

RIP, Chairman of the Board.

Pioneer and best prep/pro of his generation, 3 X NBA MVP, retiring after close to two decades he was last remaining ABA player and voted one of top 50 NBA players ever.

One of the greatest rebounders in league history, with Wilt, Russell (and Rodman in his prime), the only player I ever heard that PRACTICED rebounding to hone his instincts.

Too many players are dying young. So sad. Enjoyed watching him back in the day. May he RIP. :(

This one hurts.

If there's such a thing as an underrated 3-time MVP, Moses is it. Led a .500-ish team to the Finals in HOU, then centered one of the best NBA teams of the modern era his first season in PHI.

Extraordinary asset to his teams. One of the best rebounders ever, especially on the offensive end. Could average 20 PPG without having any plays run for him.

Wasn't the rim protector this era wants in a C, did not have shooting range. But when the game was still a slog six feet and closer to the hoop, Moses was Bill ####### Brasky down on the block.

RIP.

I really thought when the Hawks got Malone and Theus they would challenge for title. Even Mo couldn't overcome the Hawks stink.

Caldwell, Darryl, Moses - all late 70s and early 80s Sixer centers gone in the last 12 months. If I'm Harvey Catchings, Mark McNamara or Clem Johnson, I'm pretty worried right now.

Dude was a stud - one of the original straight-from-hs-to-the-pros players. I remember how he used to give Kareem fits back in the day.
