Jones: Romo will play in Week 16: Cowboys owner Jerry Jones wants Tony Romo to play again this season. Romo has been sidelined since Oct. 25 when he broke his collarbone in a loss to the Giants, and would only be able to return for the team's final two games, at Arizona on Dec. 25 and at Philadelphia on Jan. 2. Asked if Romo would be ready for the Christmas Day game, Jones said Friday: "In my opinion he will be. ... I want to do anything we can to win those games."

Do you guys like Romo if he returns week 16? I think they will run a lot on Arizona but Romo should do alright.

What do you think? Too late to trust him now that we are in the playoffs?

I hope he plays against the Eagles and we knock him out for 2011.

IMO, it's moronic for him to play this year. I understand he's getting paid. I understand Jerry Jones wants to win every game his team plays, particularly on national TV. But risking further injury to one of your top players is just plain stupid.

Possibly in over Eli if I make it to week 16. If he's healthy, why not. Everyone tries to play doctor and say Jerry would be trotting him out too early, but week 16 would be on the end of the timetable he was given when he first got injured. If he is healed and good to go, then why not. The medical staff has to clear him after all.

If by some chance I'm in my championship game that week, I'm not so sure I would start Romo having not seen him play for a long time, but it would be good to have him back.

Stay classy Philly fan! I hope nothing happens to any of your key players, if it does, think of your statement as karma always finds a way.

I guess that depends on the other options available. He may be worth a stash for me since the best QB available is Fitzpatrick.

Horrible idea to play Romo. What is the point? Kitna is playing well, the season is lost and what if Romo gets hurt again?

Horrible idea.

From a fantasy perspective, I dont know about starting him. He could be really rusty. The timing wont be good. I dont know....sucks for me too because Romo is my starter in three dynasty leagues and I have been rolling with Kitna, who has done well.

This article makes it sound more like a debate than the CBS one.

"It really boils down to what gives us the best chance to win the game," Jones said. "A guy who has been winning all of the games and is really into the flow of things or a player we think is our starter coming in but is a little bit rusty?"

It's a quandary Jones and the coaching staff must resolve as they consider the immediate welfare of the team and its long-term future. The steady, competent performance of Kitna has helped raise the issue. Since Romo suffered a fractured left collarbone in the second quarter of the Cowboys' 41-35 defeat to the New York Giants on Oct. 25, Kitna, 38, has played well.
"I can envision a scenario where you have a little better taste in your mouth if he comes back, plays in the last two games, played lights out than if he hadn't played," Jones said. "Well, it would have to do with knocking some of the rust off, too. It would surprise me for him to come out and be as sharp as he would have been if he had been playing in all the games."
