Did he prove he deserves/needs 20-30 touches today? Enough so that this fascination with Jesse Chatman comes to an end?

Thoughts?

why wouldn't he.
Highlights from Cam's press conference.Cam said Ronnie was special. He said that Ronnie came to him during the week, and did something that reminded him of another special player he coached (LT), and Ronnie asked him what can he do to help the team win, and how can he become better. Cam then said to say that and show your teammates that you want to do what you can to help the team, then to go out and do what he did, that is special. Ronnie Brown is a special player. He said he was very proud of Ronnie and now the expectations are high because they see what he can do. Now, he needs to take it to the next level and keep doing what I know he can do. Those were the words of his coach, and man did his coach FINALLY feel confident in him. Ronnie could be good to go now!

Ronnie Brown played a terrible Jet D. Please lets see him do something before we say he is back

I'd sell Ronnie Brown quick like. I don't think Brown will do much like that again. I think the Jets are pretty bad defensively. I think this is an exception, not the rule.

Laurence Maroney and Willis McGahee combined for 175 total yards and 1 TD against this terrible defense. Ronnie had 211 and 3 TD by himself in one game. Anyone who wants to continue to blame his performance on the Jets "terrible" defense needs to rethink that excuse. It is silly.

I am a Fins homer and a Ronnie owner, and I am psyched right now. Someone finally decided to feature Ronnie Brown in a game and he was an absolute beast - on the road against a team that hadnt given up much to the 2 other highly touted feature RBs that it has faced this season. With 2 more receiving yards he would have led BOTH teams in both rushing and receiving in the game.

I dont see Jesse Chatman stealing too many carries going forward. I think Cam might just try to make RB the centerpiece of his offense after that performance. He cannot be that blind.

I am ecstatic to own Ronnie Brown right now.

 I have tried to get Ronnie Bronw in every league that I am in prior to week 3.

All I can say, is what a difference a week makes!!!

:excited: If this was Cam's plan all along, then he is one of the smartest guys in the room, so to speak. If this just sort of happened and Cam finally 'gets it' then at least he can learn from his mistakes. Either way, it looks very positive going forward for Ronnie.

The truth is somehwere in between the "Jets D is terrible" and the Ronnie Brown is clearly a stud emerging now that he has been featured mindset.

In case you haven't noticed, Maroney hasn't scored a TD this year vs. anyone and the Patriots are passing by choice, not out of necessity. The Ravens are not a prolific offense, nor are they playing very well so far this season. Brown owners should be excited, but as encouraging as it is, it was only one game. It should raise expectations, and it's better than if he had 50 yards and no scores, but it's not something to be expected every week, either.

"Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in."

:godfather 3:

I have no idea what to make of this guy. I drafted him in each of the last two seasons, believing in his talent etc. and getting burned for me beliefs. After last week I was just done with this guy, freaking done. And then he goes off against the Jets (as he usually does), including being a threat in the passing game and now Cam comes out with this Ronnie-love. Just great - I can't believe I'm actually looking his schedule, checking for some advantageous match ups. Hard to get that Kool-Aid out of my system, I guess.

In three weeks the fantasy world is going to know if Brown is a stud or average because he will certainly get the ball. He sits at #5 or 6 in scoring after 3 weeks because of the 3 TDs, so after six weeks, will he be have 8 total TDs or 4? That seems to be what the answer is and all this can be put to rest.

The truth Lies somewhere in between, Methinks.

Simply assuming that the Brown/Chatman split is over, here is how the first three weeks look if ronnie is/was the feature back..

Week 1: 18 rushes for 47 yards and 12 catches for 88...

Week 2: 14 Rushes for 60 Yardsand 6 Catches for 51

Week 3 doesn't change.

looking at those numbers makes brown a viable RB 2, and possibly a marginal RB1 in PPR leagues.

Going forward, If brown can get 60-80 yards on the ground and another 5 catches for 25-50 in he Air I will take him as my 4th round pick in WCOFF and giggle all the way to the championship.

Ronnie is the Best offensive player the dolphins have, and trent green needs to get him the ball so he won't get killed back there.

Its all about opportunity, and it certainly looks like RB will have it. From the Miami Dolphins site, here's a Cam Cameron quote. So far, he's been as good as his word.

"We all saw the effort that Ronnie ran with and I know you guys thought I was losing my mind, but 'A' I said I'm not down on Ronnie Brown, 'B' he's an ascending player. His attitude has been real good and he wants to help this team win. … It will get more and more difficult now, which should raise his level of play, and that's what normally happens. A guy does that, he throws a performance like that out there, and now he raises his level of play and it can be kind of fun to watch a guy take off."
