The Maurer Theory Floyd, Michael ARI WR Fri Jun 15 9:50:40 p.m. ET 2012
Again I went BPA. Although Floyd's situation caps his ceiling in a way, I think it will actually help more than harm his career. I wasn't sure about Floyd being a successful #1 target in an offense, but I know for a fact he could among the best #2 targets. Well see how it goes, regardless , hes solid value, maybe I'll trade him
1.09
The Maurer Theory Hillman, Ronnie DEN RB Fri Jun 15 9:50:43 p.m. ET 2012 As you saw if you checked the trades, I ended up trading Hillman, but that doesn't mean I dont like him. Hillman has the potential to be the, what we now consider, a feature back. Obviously hes not a 300 carry guy, but he could be a 225-250 carry guy with another 50 catches on top of that. Going to be very interesting to track his progress in Denver, Manning could make him a star.

The Maurer Theory Sanu, Mohamed CIN WR Mon Jun 18 9:20:24 a.m. ET 2012 Pick made based on Pre-Draft List I cant believe I got him this late, everyone else's loss, Sanu is a perfect match to oppose Green and I could see Sanu emerging and having a fantasy impact eventually. Obviously the down side is that you will have to wait a while to see the results on the field, but Sanu has good enough potential that theres NO way he should be available in the 3rd
3.02
The Maurer Theory Goodson, Mike OAK RB Mon Jun 18 9:20:24 a.m. ET 2012
Best handcuff in the game folks, bar none. Goodson showed flashes in his short stint in a feature role with Carolina, and I have no doubt he could do the same if McFadden goes down again. I honestly think the Addition of Goodson makes McFadden a much safer bet for fantasy, because the only issue with McFadden is that he cant stay in the field, if you have a guy that you can plug in when hes out and get you potentially high end RB2 numbers... the ultimate luxury. He is still going very late in the fantasy Mocks I've been doing , but I think he has just about the same redraft value as Ben Tate at this point.

The Maurer Theory Tamme, Jacob DEN TE Mon Jun 18 9:20:24 a.m. ET 2012 Totally Pumped about getting Tamme here. I asked Fooballguys own Cecil Lammey the other day what he thought Tamme's role in the offense was looking to be and he said he could get upwards of 100 targets this season. With Manning at the helm, and Tamme being the only farmiliar target, I think hes a low end TE1 with a pretty high ceiling. again, no way I should be getting him this late.

So, this is how my team looks post draft. Its shaping up a lot better than I expected to be honest. Obviously at a quick glance you say, eww this team is garbage for this year, what is the direction of this team??? is he leaving?...because that team is bad! One of the reason's I have such a rag tag group though is because I traded away most of my assets for 2013 first(8 of them). Not really expecting anything from this team, but I think I got a shot to make some noise lol.
Quarterback:
Obviously drafting a QB when you already have 3 is not the standard play in a 21 man dynasty league, but I felt Griffin was worth it considering his potential. I honestly am just trying to grab as much value as I possibly can right now and If Griffin goes off this year or shows major flashes, I could gain a lot wit that pick... especially at 1.6. The good thing also is that I dont have to rely on him this year, As I have 100% faith one of the other three (Romo, Bradford,Palmer) will be a QB1. put it on the board, yes. The thing is now, that I will probably trade one of them before the season, its seemingly Bradford at this point. I love the guy and think hes going to have a bounce back year, but whats the point in really holding him anymore when I have a younger player with a higher ceiling? may do the 'wait a few weeks, hope he blows up, then trade him' routine.
Running Back
I think most of you probably consider RB much more of a weakness than I do. I. LOVE. Donald Brown this year. I just do, he is going about 2-3 rounds later than he should be and is a no doubt starter going into this year. I consider him a strong RB2 candidate as of now. Green Ellis May be the least exciting fantasy player ever, and I may hate having him on my roster, but hes going to get it done this year, 250-275 carries and has a shot at 10TDs. again, no stud potential for the Bengals starter, but a solid RB2 IMO. I'm pretty sure I like spiller more than most, but I like him as my RB3 this year, I think he starts to chip away at Fred Jackson for a bigger piece of the pie in Buffalo, kid is just to talented to hold down any longer. totally happy with Goodson and Carter as my handcuff RBB/Rb5 combo, Carter covers a Donaldo disaster and Goodson could end up being my second best RB this year if Mcfadden goes down for an extended period of time. All in all, I think my RBs have a low ceiling for elite production and have a possibility of being a weakness, but I also think they are pretty consistent and I shouldn't have a problem finding two solid starters to throw out there every week. We shall see.
Wide Receiver:
Well, the addition of Andre Johnson was huge for me to say the least, give me a game changer that can go off on a consistent basis of everything works out. After him though, things get a little more complicated.. and murky... and confusing. As of now Robert Meachem is my WR2, although I like Meachem and think he has a solid year this year, its a bit early to say you can be counting on him to be your WR2, gotta get lucky on that one. my WR3 at this point is probably Brandon Lafell , but I may platoon him with Lance Moore and Steve Breaston depending on the week and matchup. I've obviously already spoken much on Brandon Lafell, yes, I am confident he will be a WR3 this year, and yes I'm going into the season with him as my WR3(because I put my money where my mouth is). Not really expecting much from Floyd, Cobb or Sanu, but I have nothing against one of them breaking out in the second half of the year. I think Cobb has a real shot to do some damage if a packers WR becomes injured. Again, another position that I'm not entirely sure how its going to play out, but I'm confident that I've done enough research for this to some how mush itself into a competent lineup.
Tight End:
Not a real entertaining postion, its pretty clear that if you dont have a top 6 or so TE your not happy right now, but I think Tamme is my light at the end of the tunnel. we will see with Kendricks, no way he is as bad as he was last year and if he can come into his own, plenty of target to go around in STL.
