Rookie TE- NFL teams looking for a TE (1 Viewer)

What NFL teams are looking to draft a TE in this years draft? And then rank those teams where a TE would most likely suceed.

In my opinion, TE is one of the positions where situation> talent to an extent. If the most talented TE goes to a team that doesn't throw much to the TE or goes to a team that expects them to block, their value in FF goes down significantly or even to a team that already has a decent TE.

Does anyone agree with me?

For example, if Gronk goes to KC/New England and then Gresham to Cincinnati or even Denver, I think Gronk's value goes up.

I hope Cincy does NOT take a top TE. It would be such a waste as they never utilize the TE other then blocking. It's like a Martz O for TE'sSame for Arizona, though Leinart maybe more open to leaning on a TE. You would think by now OC's would realize all the top offenses feature a very athletic TE that creates mismatches. Miami could use a real one with Henne and Marshall. Denver. St. Louis.At least if the Ravens take one you know you will have a decent Fantasy guy.

The Bengals could use a TE but I think most of the discussion of them, say, taking Gresham is way overblown. The TE is not anything more than a blocker really in Brat's scheme. Dorin Dickinson late in Round 2 would be my own personal guess as to how it's going to go down, though they may take a gamble and try to get him in Round 3 if the TEs are coming off the board later than expected. Gresham is way too similar to Coffman IMO (injury issues, much more a receiver than a blocker). Supposedly they were taking care of this before the draft (per Marvin) but nothing has come to pass.

New England is another team that is needy at the position.

By success do you mean fantasy success? A success for any TE the Bengals would draft would probably be 4 TDs max and be able to run block.

It's about time for the Colts to declare the Jacob Tamme project a failure, so I could see them draft a receiving TE to develop behind Dallas Clark. Seems like an ideal situation for a guy like Aaron Hernandez.

The Ravens probably would be in play here too right? Heap is old. Even with Boldin (actually especially with Boldin) there'd seem to be a good chance for a young receiving TE to make a mark sooner than later.

Lots of speculation on local radio and in the Atlanta Journal Constitution that if Gresham is there at 19 the Falcons will think long and hard about taking him. Tony G may only play a year or two more. Makes some sense to me, I guess.

' mainly because I think Brat's not going to utilize him correctly.Hopefully I'm wrong as if they actually incorporated the TE into the passing game it could make a big difference. But I don't trust Brat to do this at all.-QG
