I have my draft next week and my keeper list is due in the next couple of days.
I don't have a great team. It's been good in the past, but I made a bad trade last year and am looking at a middling year.
My probable keepers:
Matt Schaub
Mike Vick
Jonathan Stewart
Michael Turner
Maurice Jones-Drew
Reggie Bush
Andre Johnson
Rob Gronkowski
Stephen Gostkowski
I can keep 1 more from: Pierre Thomas, Anquan Boldin, Jason Babin, Desmond Bishop, Darryl Washington, Karlos Dansby or Dawan Landry.
We start:
1 QB
1 RB
1 WR
1 TE
1 DL
1 LB
1 DB
1 K
and 5 flex - one of which can be a QB.
So, it is effectively a start 2 QB league.
Our roster is set at 16 players - not much wiggle room since we are starting 13 players. We have limited rules to help alleviate problems with bye weeks and injuries - we can only cut players after week 4, 8 and 12 and we have 20 roster substitutions that can be used. believe me, that's not as many as it seems like.
Now, normally I would go into the season with Vick and Schaub as my QBs and not be too worried about it. If I picked up a third QB, it would be because the was one of value available.
I did not have a third QB last year with Vick. This year, however, I feel it might be much more prudent to roster the third quarterback. Or would you roll the dice? There are always a quarterback or three on the waiver wire who are starters.
I am from Philly and I would say it is less than 20 percent that Nick Foles gets drafted.
