Router Suggestions (1 Viewer)

This has probably been discussed in the cutting the cord thread and maybe some streaming threads but wondered if people have suggestions on a good router. Also not sure what questions to ask or what info is pertinent to selecting one.

Currently have a R6700 - Nighthawk AC1750 Smart WiFi Dual Band Gigabit Router, but received an email saying "We are reaching out to inform you that service updates for your Router have ended. Your Router will continue to operate, but will no longer receive the same level of updates designed to maintain the performance of your device and address new and evolving security needs. This could mean, for instance, your device will not perform optimally or make your network more susceptible to security risks."

I am also not sure it was a great router in the first place but served its purpose.

Currently on Spectrum with 1 gig of internet services coming in. Needs to be able to handle 2 tvs, 2 cell phones, 2 laptops, desktop and a couple other items.

Suggestions or other info needed?

I've had an Orbi system for years and forget I even have the thing. I say that as a good thing.

I've had an Orbi system for years and forget I even have the thing. I say that as a good thing.

My 8 year old orbi just died

Since I needed something fast, like same day I ended up with a Tp-Link Deco from Costco

Both mesh systems and so far so good with the deco

Any mesh would be great

However orbi prices a bit sky high right now (says the guy that just dropped $300 on the deco)

Got TP Link Deco X4300 Pro from Sam's a few months ago on sale for $130. Upgraded from my Google mesh that I've had for almost a decade.
