Rudolph for Charles? (1 Viewer)

Let me kick this one off. 12 team PPR start 2 RB/3 WR/ 1 TE. I'm a contender but TE and RB are thin (below). WR is a strength.

I've been offered Rudolph for Charles (Anderson owner). What do You think? I've never been a Rudolph guy, always hurt finally has a good year but thinking its probably  fools gold. Good value or hold off?

RB: Hyde/Ware/Charles/Forte

WR: ODB/Dez/DT/Jeffery/Meredith/Thielen/R. Matthews/Tread/J. Gordon/Decker

TE: Witten/Davis

I get to provide the first answer!  Take the deal. Charles is nearly done. Rudolph could be a productive TE again this year and you could use another to bolster that position.

Bradford is a checkdown machine, making Rudolph at least serviceable, but I doubt he will turn a corner or something. Probably get a few years out of him though, witten and Davis are likely done after this year. With little depth at rb I'd rather try to sell a wr than Charles unless you have an early pick .

Charles says he's feeling good.  Rudolph is serviceable, but not top-tier.  Your RBs are dicey at best.  I would work to improve them, not TE, so I'd hold onto the lottery ticket.

I don't trust Witten's longevity, and Davis is similarly unpredictable.

Since I have trouble seeing Charles being much more than a bye week filler (and for only 1 season most likely) I'd be willing to deal him for a solid starting TE.

I'd go for it. Rudolph is a low end TE1, Charles is...a complete mystery. In theory he could bounce back and surprise and take the starting job, he could just as likely be 3rd string.

I ended up trading Charles and 2018 3 for Rudolph and 2018 2. At the same time I moved my 2.12 rookie for Latavius who should be fine at least for this year. Not really looking to acquire Vikings lol.

Honestly, it's a good rookie draft for either position this year.  Charles, if he's got some juice left, has higher upside to offer a competing team than Rudolph. Mind you they drafted Bucky Hodges and they will still try to get Treadwell incorporated into that offense. I'd probably hang on and get one of those top 3 TEs in the draft. But It would make total sense as well to go the other route and try to snag you a Perine type who has a chance to contribute early if you do decide to get Rudolph.
