Any Packer's homers out there know anything about Ryan Grant? Is he worth picking up as a deep sleeper? Do you see him playing at all this year? Is he potentially better than Morency and Jackson? Just wondering.

To be fair here, I wouldn't expect Packer Backers to know too much on Grant as he was a Giant just a few weeks ago.The kid is pretty good, but as he was just traded for, he needs time to learn the playbook and figure out which way is up. If BJax needs help with the workload and VMorency can't answer the call, Grant will be the next one in line.(Grant was deactivated Week 1, but I have heard he'll be active for Week 2).

Packers homer (obviously). Wynn looked pretty good in spot duty on Sunday. They played him mostly on 3rd downs, maybe they like his blocking better than Jackson. As far as Grant, heard good things about him, but I'm thinking this pick was in case Wynn couldn't go week 1 and to see what he had as far as special teams is concerned. I think GB will be RBBC once Morency comes back anyway. Even if he doesn't, if Wynn continues to impress it may still be RBBC.

one thing to consider when looking at Grant in relation to Wynn is Wynn's injury history. Look at reports so far this offseason/preseason ... not to mention his time as a Gator. You add in Morency's injuries and Jackson's and it is not difficult to see a way Grant sees a decent opportunity this year.

Probably worth a flier if you have room, but he seems to be behind Wynn. According to Sportsline, he was active for Week 1, but didn't see any time.

I think most of Wynn's injury issues were just becuase he was a lazy slob. If he stays in the NFL, I think that means he worked out those problems becuase he doesn't have enough raw talent to be a lazy slob and stay on a roster.
