Ryan Grant (1 Viewer)

Ryan Grant sounds like a nice story but it's a long shot that he wins the starting job outright over the other 3 backs. At best, he would be part of a 2 headed or 3 headed RBBC.
I can understand most people here saying that Grant was not going to do much in the crowded GB backfield. The only reason I knew the kid could play was that I am from the NY/NNJ area and played against him in hs - I also got a great look at the bottom of his cleats when we played against him - and followed his progression from Don Bosco Prep. But did I expect this kind of early success? No, but I did feel that he had the talent to excel in a good system. The GB aerial assault commands so much respect that Grant should be successful as long as this kind of balance remains. ALthough Aaron R. has shown flashes in Favre's absence, one could only speculate as to whether Grant could sustain this level of productivity past Brett's retirement.
Wow, it's amazing that you were able to glean so much info about his pro prospects based on his high school performance. Congratulations, I feel enlightened now.

I am guessing you couldn't get passed my small anecdote? I mentioned that tidbit to give the reader a bit of perspective as to why I even knew about him. I will admit that I was in awe of him in HS, how he was a man amongst boys, and how that made me follow him at ND. While at ND, he had a very good season (2002 13-13 261 1085 4.2 9) and that made me believe that he could perform well at the next level. I am sorry I didn't spell that all out for you, but that was the gist of my argument: I was privy to his earlier/est days and kept an eye on him.

Another good game from Grant on limited carries (100, td).

Is this kid going to be a top 15 RB taken next year (redrafts)?

GB keeps changing RBs (or seems to each year) so naturally I'd like to see something rock solid from them first but I don't see why he's not top 15.
