Ryan Mathews (1 Viewer)

Shoulder injury. No indication as to severity. I didn't see anything while watching the game so I have no clue.

Sucks for me as I just trades for him a week ago.

Gonna be a fun year. The guy gets injured making coffee in the morning.

I kept him only because the cost was a 4th rounder, otherwise he would not be on my team.

The scary part about him is that he leaves with minor injuries. For the most part he always plays the next week so it shows he's not hurt badly, but he refuses to play with minor injuries.

He's the softest RB I've seen in awhile. Great talent but no heart.

Seems that way. I didn't see anything at all that would have indicated an injury on his carry at all. Pretty weak.

I'm sure they're gong to be very cautious with Mathews in the preseason. Any sign trouble and he's out of there.

900+ yds from scrimmage, 300+ yds to the sideline, 11 TD, 8 GTD

Unless he's trying to influence his draft position, he still looks way too risky for me. Get his backup super cheap instead. :)

i'm hoping this is just week 1 preseason. he might have burped when he stood up and norv pulled him. i didn't see him bent over or his shoulder handing low. got tackled and went off. honestly said to myself "wow, i guess they aren't working him hard tonight".

no idea but he wasn't down on the field.

I think that's a bit pre-mature and conclusory without all of the info. Tonight we are talking about a pre-season game and from what I remember Norv doesnt play his starting RB much in the 1st game anyway.Last year he played in 14 of 16 games while dealing with several injuries including playing several games with a huge cast or something on his hand. It's the NFL, guys get nicked. Missing 4 games one year, 2 the next, and now entering his 3rd season I think to say he has no heart is kinda BS.But like I said, I hope the injury prone label scares others in my leagues off. I think he's in for a big year and the injuries, while a concern, don't bother me nearly as much as the question marks on all of the other RBs after the top 3.

Being a matthews owner I would have liked to have heard them say "holding him out for precautionary measures" by now.

I love the fools that are spending 1.04 on this guy.....has happened in 2 ofmy ffpc drafts
I love the over-reaction we get from everyone like say people like you. Everyone is a fool I guess for taking a guy who scored 240 pts last year despite missing 2 games and having Tolbert suck up over 50 catches and tons of TD's and Mathews led the league in Points/play when on the field. What fools I tell you what fools!

Figures. Keeper due in my league in about 20 minutes, and I have Mathews as a third. No information yet. Grrrr.

pretty impressive that you are able to discern the amount of pain and the extent of an injury another person is experiencing. i mean, there must some endeavor where your preternatural talent yields nice profit.

This is interesting shtick about a RB's injury proneness, coming from a Raiders fan.
So because McFadden is rarely healthy, I'm not allowed to comment on RB injuries?
I'm drinking and forced to watch third stringers play football.

When a guy leaves a game and returns the next week it's pretty clear his injury wasn't that bad. Mathews does it every other week. Leave game, come back the next week, rinse and repeat with this tin man.

I tried to trade for this guy this week but the cost was too high. He is being hyped big time by just about everyone. I decided to pass on him based on the cost and his propensity to miss time with injuries. This goes back to his Fresno State days. First carry tonight he leaves and does not return. Injured shoulder. No news on the severity of his injury. SD should just shut him down during the preseason.

As a Mathews owner, I'm praying they do that.

LOL ouch

Their weren't too many RB's in the league that stepped onto an NFL field worse than Ronnie Brown last year. Shocked he's even still in the league. They gotta make a play for someone IMO.
