Hello all. I have a salary cap league question. I have the opportunity to franchise tag Davante Adams for 533.52 dollars. Full PPR league with 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1QB/WR, 1RB/WR/TE, and 1DST.

The salary cap is $2,553 and I currently have $1,868 without Adams. Here is my roster.

QB: J.Winston, Lamar Jackson.

RB: Jordan Howard, Marlon Mack, Sony Michel

WR: Keenan Allen, Stefon Diggs, T.Y. Hilton

TE: Trey Burton, George Kittle

Last year the top WR went for 480 dollars. The same for RB and TE. I could lock up the top WR and then focus my efforts on securing a top RB and possibly going after a few low cost QB options and hoping I strike gold. Let me know your thoughts. Thank you all! The top 9 WR are available for the auction though.

What does the franchise tag get you?  Just this year?  Multiple years?  It seems like an overpay based on what you said the top guys are going for.  Seems like letting him go to the auction and trying to get a better deal would make sense.

I just don't know what the franchise tag gets you....other than knowing his price (which seems inflated).
