I'm older, so went Peg > Tusk, but love them both. For the other 2, my taste probably runs Santa Monical > Interstate.

All really good, and my preference likely varies by mood moreso than "quality"

Santa Monica and Interstate Love Song were staples of my college years. Never got into the other two really.

Voted Interstate Love Song with Santa Monica a close second.

Not a big fan of Santa Monico or Everclear in general. Tusk is cool but nowhere near one of the best FM songs. Close call on Peg vs Interstate but I am 90s teen so not that close.

Interstate by a hair over Tusk and Peg. Steely Dan is one of those bands that has to hit me at the right time, and right now isn't one of them. Big fan of Tusk but it doesn't have a lot of depth and I'm always wishing it would go somewhere and ultimately feel disappointed by the end.

GTFO of here with Everclear.

Strange. Just like in the Black Sheep game that we used to play when Hagmania would join us, I am far off here

This is easily “Santa Monica” by Everclear. Art Alexakis might be a bit crass and not everybody’s cup of tea, but he can at least manage to craft a singable pop song while the other songs here are fumbling, generic and uninspired, or just something to shut off instantly.

More power to you if you like the Mac,, the Dan, or the dirge but I just can’t really do any of those bands,

I listened to a lot of Everclear one year just because there was no digital anything and I had a few cassettes I had not played out yet.

So Much For The Afterglow

This.

I saw STP in '94 while road tripping at William & Mary. My buddy and I picked up a set of twins at the show and had a memorable experience afterwards in a dirty local Williamsburg hotel. 31 years ago and I still remember the matching denim outfits they were wearing.

Oh man, I was scrolling down the page and could have sworn I saw @Buffaloes (ooh, bummer—he is not here any longer, apparently) with his Jim Anchower avatar and I cracked up for a moment.
