I think it's more to the fact that after you have added spices to the stew, you need to know how it tastes before adding more spices to it. Thus, let the core or basis of players gel or build some sort of chemistry. This is the problem we had before when we swapped coaches every other year, now that we stopped doing that...we need to make that change for players too. Then again, if you traded your picks...you're left with having to add FA as the only source to build upon.

Cowboys fans are about the last people in the world to lecture the Redskins about how to build a franchise. I see little difference between their approach and the Redskins' approach under Snyder.
