Scoring for IDP League (1 Viewer)

I'm a comissioner for a league and we've decided to move to IDP instead of D/ST.

In addition to the regular offense we will start:

1 special teamer

1 defensive back

1 linebacker

1 defensive lineman

To be honest I don't even now where to begin for scoring since I've always done team defense.

Any advice on what stats to score and how much to score for each stat would really help.

I appreciate it...

a basic set up includes .5 pts per total tackle , 2 pts per sack, 3 pts for INt all Def Tds are 6 pts

I would drop the special teams player and go 2 DL (DE/DT), 2 LB, 2 DB (CB or S). Scoring like above. Also yardage on returns the same as RB yardage.

Ive also played where tackles are 1pt and assists are .5pt. You can also add pts for passes defensed.

.... at a minimum. Really 3 of each are better unless perhaps you have more than 16 teams in your league. If you have 16 teams or less definitely go 3/3/3 even if it means you'll reduce the scoring for defensive players. With just 1/1/1 it's going to feel like complete luck who has a great game each week instead of assembling a strong defensive unit.

I agree with this, 3/3/3 is the way to go. As far as scoring systems this is the one I've used in my IDP leagues for 3 years.

Sack (1)

Tackle Solo (0.5)

Interception (2)

Fumble Force (2)

Fumble Recovery (2)

Touchdown (6)

Safety (2)

Pass Defended (1)

Block Kick (2)

I would drop the special teams player and go 2 DL (DE/DT), 2 LB, 2 DB (CB or S).
