What's up with this guy? He was suppose to be the full time starter last week and got a big fat 0. Nichols is on the injury report this week. Anybody know the extent of his injury?

couple of 'spoon threads around but i'll share what i know. he's being eased back into the game likely with an eye towards the playoffs. he's been coming in on nickel packages while nicholas has been playing base. i didn't watch the game but carolina ran the ball well and that kept nicholas on the field. against a team like green bay, who didn't run the ball hardly, 'spoon was on the field a lot. so the question have to ask yourself is "do i think seattle will be running or passing more?" and roster accordingly.

I don't remember reading that Weatherspoon was expected to play every down last week. I posted that it might be likely during his first couple of weeks back, but it's been a month and the rotation has remained the same. He's now saying that he's not 100% physically, which makes it even less likely that he'll return to an every down role in the next couple of weeks without an injury to Peterson or Nicholas.

Here is all I can find:

Dec 15 LB Stephen Nicholas (knee) was limited in practice Wednesday, but he is expected to play Sunday. Nicholas had a sack in the last meeting with Seattle to close out the 2007 season.

What are the thoughts on Weatherspoon with Worrilow in the picture?

Is it with playing both of them over say ... Daryl Smith?
