"Searching" - Feedback Much Appreciated (1 Viewer)

Hey All,

Just finished mastering my latest track called, "Searching".  Many of you have been kind enough to take a few minutes to listen and review/critique my previous efforts, and I really appreciate it. I do take time to consider your thoughts, comments and suggestions, and apply them to future recordings where appropriate. Some of you may notice your suggestions coming to fruition in this track below.

If you've got 5 minutes to chill, maybe this track can help take your mind to a cool place. I do humbly request that you listen all the way through so you get the complete intended vibe. As always, thanks for listening and feel free to download. Hope you enjoy it!

kool. and it establishes a different range from your other tunes. the late "guitar" was surprising and had power. thought the "talkbox" would join in for the last chorus, tho.

Thanks. Actually, the "talkbox" does join in for the last couple choruses. I know it's there so I can hear it, but I guess I'll have to go back and raise the level so it stands out a bit more. Great feedback, and thanks for listening!

still inspiring and impressive... but I'll make the same comment about layering content, tempo and dynamics. maybe could use some more typical song structure within (which would make less chill-out), where there are 8 bars that build, a chorus, a bridge, rinse-repeat, etc. dunno. still sounds great- and again, inspiring. but just my own preference there.

Thanks! Maybe I'll start working on something a little more accessible, with a catchy hook/chorus.

Bumped up the "talkbox" part that joins the distorted guitar post-bridge. I want the talkbox to be audible and compliment the distorted guitar, but not overpower it or drown it out. If you have a minute I'd love to hear what you think of the change. Updated version in OP. Thanks again for listening.

A great musician once told me, "When a female sound meets a male sound, or vice versa, it must support it, even if with countering notes. When a male sound meets a male sound they must clash" She's right - think about that. As long as the guitar has been established, it's better for the talkbox to re-enter on equal footing.

Listened. Better. My old ears didnt hear it on my compphones first time because the first like 6 notes are identical. didn't think they were. Maybe come in on the second beat, 3rd note of that measure. And, as always, just notes dude. Your joint & a damn good one.

Thanks. I'm working on a different version where the talkbox plays a slightly different melody upon joining the distorted guitar. Sounds better imo.
