Seattle at Jacksonville (1 Viewer)

I suspect if you asked fans to rank those by severity, you would not find Juju and Gronk together in a tier classed as "significantly worse" than the other three.  And that will bother people.
I don't disagree. Opinions are going to vary widely. I think stuff that happens during play should be treated quite differently that stuff that happens after plays. I was shocked when I saw that the PIT defense back that was flagged for the helmet to helmet on Antonio Brown was on the suspended list (later rescinded). I think they did the right thing in changing that suspension. I understand that people will argue both ways that the Bennett stuff was during or not during a play. The kneel down is a play, but I get that it's sort of silly to consider it a real play. I remember people were appalled when Tampa Bay was coached to do something similar a few years ago. Can't remember the guys name at the moment. He was the one that was hired/not hired by Tennessee recently. Is a kneel down a real play? I know they give my quarterback in fantasy leagues -1 yards every time it happens. I don't know what to say about that. If I were a head coach I think I would make a point of not attempting to charge through the line at that point. We lost and would need to show some humility at that point IMO.

I've been following the Seahawks for a long time. I guess I'm a fan, but I've never liked the word fan because of the emotional "fanatic" association. I think Bennett's behavior was awful at the end of the game. That was childish and immature. I keep reading about "going for his knees", but that doesn't sound fair. If you believe that its because you choose to believe that. It means you think you can see into a man's heart. You can't. You have no idea what his intentions are. I don't know either.

As far as the word "thug" goes. Well, I have a specific image in my head when it comes to that word and Michael Bennett is pretty far from it when it comes to being a man. We don't know him well enough to be saying things like this. However, his teammates as a whole just nominated him for a rather special award. I think that speaks volumes as well just like his behavior at the end of the game. I guess we can choose to give people the benefit of the doubt or not. It would seem you vote no. To me that just seems overly harsh.

Thug? Really? To say that it would seem you have no understanding at all of why a man would sit for the national anthem. Do I like it? Not at all. Would I do that? Never. Do I have some perspective that leads to why he might? Yeah.
I believe what my eyes saw.

I agree, outside of play should be handled differently.  Which is why it is shocking Jefferson isnt being suspended for going into the stands, or that Juju's suspension held up even while Iloka's was removed.  NFL needs some consistency, which would include clear rules on what does or does not warrant suspension.

The coach you are looking for is Greg Schiano I believe.  May not have spelled that right.

And someone else sawing him anticipating a fumbled snap. He was going to where that fumble would have landed. Again, you will believe what you want to believe depending on what you want to believe was in another man's heart. If you think he's a dirty player you're more likely to believe he was attempting to injury the center. Fair enough?

I didn't think he was a dirty player until yesterday.  Also, he kept after the center's knees long after the play was over.

And knock if off with this "another man's heart" BS.

I have no idea why the Seahawks seem to think they can bully and "mean" their way through all their problems. They took a beating yesterday and like was said above, its a really bad look on them.

Ugh.

As a Seahawks fan I think the whole end of that game was classless.  Just ####### lose with some grace.  I mean, I realize it sucks but you probably should have scored more than zero points in the first half so you don't find yourself needing to get some sort of weird, lucky victory formation fumble.  (I mean seriously I don't know the answer to this question, but has that ever happened?)

They need to be embarrassed by what happened out there and I realize they didn't get suspended for their actions but I kind of wish they did.  Perhaps John Schneider does the right thing?

Q. Jefferson tries unsuccessfully to attack a fan.
This one should be removed from the conversation.  You start fining players who are getting hit by projectiles from stupid/drunk fans, and you're gonna have a much bigger problem on your hands.

Pretty sure he would have been suspended if he actually went into the stands, but he didn't. I'm sure you know this, making your comment bizarre.

Why does Jacksonville keep finding themselves in these situations?
Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles on the chippiness of Sunday's win over the Seahawks: "Teams aren’t used to getting beat by the Jags. We beat the crap out of them for 60 minutes."

Teams definitely not used to getting beat by the Jags. They the only team that beats the crap out of people though?

It's not actually relevant whether we think Bennett was going for the center's knees or not. The point is that it was perceived that way by Jax players. Which is why you don't do #### like that. It is GOING to be taken as a cheap shot. Especially in the victory formation, which should be considered sacred. I've never heard of anyone successfully interfering with the center's snap.

According to Pete Carroll (on Monday) he had previously asked Bennett to stop doing it.  I think the Seattle coaches at least understand it's perceived as unsportsmanlike.
