Seattle threw away a 4th and 6th round draft pick (1 Viewer)

Has a team ever traded away TWO draft picks for a player and then released him in one month?

I mean, a 4th and 6th round draft picks aren't the most substantial pieces, but they are definitely something and Seattle literally just gave them away. It's truly bizarre and there's gotta be something exceptional for him to be cut so quickly. Either way, this is not a great start for the new Seattle coaching staff.

I thought they just moved down in both those rounds not lose those picks. I could be wrong however.

They didn't trade either pick for White.

Tennessee Titans: Acquire picks No. 104 and 176 in 2010

Seattle Seahawks: Acquire picks No. 111 and 185 in 2010, RB LenDale White and DT Kevin Vickerson.

They slid down 7 and 9 slots in those two rounds and also acquired Vickerson.

As it turns out, White was almost without any cost to the Seahawks. And one tends to get what one pays for.

You not hear about his 4 game suspension?

Aside from the fact that they actually didn't give up much at all for him, they knew about the suspension already before the trade (or so it's been reported).

Yeah, the Saints used to do it all the time back in the day.

Maurice Clarett was a 3rd rounder and was cut in camp by Denver.
True, and he was secretly drinking Vodka from his water bottle during camp practices. Literally on the field running thru pylons and cones and then take a swig from his gatorade/vodka mix.Lendale must've done something equally stupid. Even considering the 4 game suspension, we haven't yet heard all the details. Should be something juicy.

Umm....the Bears traded a 2nd round pick for Gaines Adams. Would have been a throw away anyway, but now he can't do anything for them unfortunately

Green Bay took DT Neal in the 2nd and then traded a 4th in the 3rd to move up and take Morgan Burnett.

Switch those picks and TT would have a 4th. For someone who only does the draft he was very sloppy this year.
