Seattle Weather (1 Viewer)

Has-been punter
Anyone paying attention to this?

Could be more emphasis on the run here.

Bulger could be riding the pine for me this week whil Vick plays in the dome.

Rarely if ever does it rain hard enough in Seattle for it to matter.

As long as the wind isnt high, its not a big deal.

I'd be interested in updates on this as well. Is the rain expected to be like Monday night, or more like the typical Seattle drizzle? Have to decide between Bulger and Brees myself.

From November to April the weather report for Seattle always says rain. Sometimes scattered rain, sometimes more rain, sometimes intermittent rain, sometimes frequent rain, but always rain.

the professional weather guys can't even predict the weather an hour from now here - I would wait until gameday to make any decisions about the weather in Seattle.

huh? thirty straight days of rain is no big deal? okay then.I was gonna drive down to the game but now I think I'll swim :( :D
 Exactly how do you think it raining today or yesterday or any of the previous 28 days(not that this has happened) affects the game on Sunday?

Exactly. It's only Wed., wait till Friday or Saturday to make any decisions. Weather changes every day.

I heard the same thing last week, and IT MADE A DIFFERENCE Monday night. The rain made for a slipperty field, lots of dropped balls. Yes, the wind played a factor, but so did the rain. It was warm out too

Why in the world would they not make their stadium a dome or at the very least have a retractable roof. Makes no sense!

As has been stated before, rarely does it rain hard enough to affect the passing game. Monday was an anomaly. Seattle gets less rain then many major cities in the U.S. because while it rains all day, it only accumulates a quarter of an inch. Unless you see heavy rain, it should not be a detriment to the passing games for either team.

The weather report for last mondays nite game in seattle was almost the same...70% rain..52degrees..but winds at 23mph...now A.Walter threw for 166 yards in that..think what Bulger can do then! :banned:

it makes sense when you consider that there have been only two (that I can remember) DAL last year, OAK this year, games that it has rained on game day.

Because your perception doesn't equal reality. There has been rain during exactly two Seattle homes games in Qwest field. Two. Just two.The Washington Huskies have displayed one of the more successful passing attacks since the 70s starting with Warren Moon and a very long list of other NFL quarterbacks. The weather has never been a problem for them. I don't think it will be a problem for the Seahawks. Is there bad weather sometimes? Sure, but lots less than lots of other places tha have uncovered stadiums.

On MNF, they gave a list of cities with more annual rainful than Seattle. I can't remember them all, but I believe NY, ATL, and HOU were on that list...probably Chicago as well.Colorado runs into similar misconceptions, always, about how cold it is, or how much snow there is (specifically Denver but substitute any of the front range cities). It stems from stuff like the ski industry and the marketing of the Rocky Mountains. Fine by me, quite frankly. But the truth is, Denver and the front range get more than 300 hundred days of sun a year. COUNT 'EM! 300! That's more SUN (key word) than any beach town in Socal.Denver is also lower, latitude-wise, than San Francisco and Chicago (pretty sure here). People don't realize that. They think "Colorado" and think snow, the Rockies.
