Seattle's running back situation was no committee today (1 Viewer)

One of my biggest pet peeves is the "Did you actually watch the games?" argument that people seem to think is somehow effective or important. For the record it is possible for two people to watch the same game and still come to different conclusions.
I completely agree, but just quoting play by play and thinking you have an insight into how a team did on the field, is a little silly. Baconisgood made comments that made it pretty obvious he was only looking at the box score. Regardless, if you think that watching the games is less affective or important than looking at box scores, there really isn't much to I can say to you.

There is potential for this line to be above-average if Okung can come in and play at a high level once he's got enough reps in the system. Do any of you local guys have a bead on how healthy he actually is now? I'm a Forsett owner in multiple Dynasty leagues so I'd like to know.Thanx,MW
He has been practicing all week at LT, with Polumbus moving over to RT to cover Locklear who has been out this week with a knee injury. I think the injury to Locklear, and the release of Pitts, puts a little but more motivation on Carrol to get Okung back into the lineup sooner. They had said that they wanted to work him in slowly this week, but that was also under the impression that Polumbus would be at LT.
K thanks for the information here. Sounds like Okung will be playing this week - I'll be focusing on his play when I watch the Seattle offense (I also have Golden Tate in multiple leagues, so I'll also be rewinding and watching him, too).

I'm quoting the box score because its 4 or 5 days later. It confirms what portion of the game i saw- multiple running plays for negative or zero yards that game is not good.

So you cherry pick the bad plays, and use that as your reasoning? Ok, I can see you are going about this the right way :sarcasm:

OKUNG UPDATE

First-round draft choice Russell Okung completed his third consecutive practice at left tackle with the No. 1 offensive line and is ready to play against the Rams.

“Russell did a very good job this week,” Carroll said. “We’ll see how this day affects him and we’ll get all the way to game time to make a decision (on whether he’s ready to play an entire game). But he did a terrific job this week. I was really thrilled that he was able to get all the work that he did.”

Okung had missed 5½ weeks after getting a high sprain of his right ankle on the first series of the second preseason game.

“I think there is something about getting in a rhythm,” offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates said when asked about Forsett’s increased load. “You know, the first play you might read something different and just as you go with the game you sort of understand who you’re playing and maybe you start to feel it a little more.

“We’re just going to keep working him.”

That assessment only makes Forsett flash his winning smile again.

“It definitely helps you get into the rhythm of the game and you kind of feel it a little bit,” Forsett said.
