Gil's not paying attention.

Thank you Bracie Smathers for putting this together. There has been a lot of wheeling and dealing done so far and I can see a lot more on day 2 as well. Should be a fun day 2 to watch, even if my Raiders don't pick until the last pick of the day.

Rams could easily take Fleener.

Stephen Hill is a reach I think AJeffery might be the pick at #7 in round2.

Jerel Worthy? seems like he should go early too

The interesting dynamic for the Rams is that in the top 13 picks of the second-round they hold 3 picks so they can fill a few holes.

1(33) Rams

2(34) Colts

3(35) Ravens (From Vikings)

4(36) Broncos (From Buccaneers)

5(37) Browns

6(38) Jaguars

7(39) Rams (From Redskins)

8(40) Panthers

9(41) Bills

10(42) Dolphins

11(43) Seahawks

12(44) Chiefs

13(45) Rams(From Cowboys)

This draft was said to only have a few WRs worth top picks and we saw that in the first round so now their are a lot of second-tier guys available and with the Rams with 3 picks near the top.

Also it seems like their are a lot of interesting O-Linemen still left so the Rams might want to play this round in a way where they target positions that they want to fill where only one guy is still available holding a top grade.

St. Louis could have WR Stephen Hill or OG/OT Cordy Glenn atop of their list and in that case they should just take their guy but if their list is close and the top TE is there, Coby Fleener, and they feel like they can get the second WR or O-Lineman a few picks later or, even if even with his troubles, they like the talent of a guy like CB Janoris Jenkins and feel he won't drop then they might go there.

6(38) Jaguars

7(39) Rams (From Redskins)

13(45) Rams (From Cowboys)

Filling leftover needs unmet with first two picks of this round

Greg Cosell offered this opinion:

RE: Rams. Can only tell you what I would do based on my film study. I take Randle over Hill. They may se it differently. We'll see tonight.
OK, I kinda want to hash out some possibilities.First question. Why is Randle so low on both Mayock's and Brandt's list of top remaining players? Also I'd be interested in hearing what homers are hearing on the direction and/or specific players that their team could be interested in.The Browns had interest in, Glenn and Fleener, but many fans have Hill high on their list. Ofcourse Heckertt has shown he is a gutless pig so he will probably give up the Browns next ten first-round draft picks to move up one spot for a long snapper so I truly expect the Browns to blow this pick as well so plug in the absolute worst possibility for Cleveland.

:goodposting: He’s a 240-lb outside ‘backer who’s a good pass rusher, but does NOTHING else well, nor does he show any willingness to. He doesn’t cover or play the run well, and refuses to play special teams. Oh, and he’s been arrested a couple of times and dropped out of High School back in the day.

So, he’s basically a smaller Kam Wimbley with way bigger character issues.

Good luck with that Seattle. OUCH!

Give it a rest dude.I put this together late last night and made one mistake.

I can see how you and people who don't ever make useful posts would want to jump all over me for that.

Good job on not making useful posts and ripping anyone who does who dares to make one mistake.

Jump all over you? Ripping you? The scathing "Not so much?"Just letting you know you had a guy in there that was no longer available, I hadn't noticed someone else had also made a note of that. Wow, you really need a thicker skin, man. Or switch to decaf or something.

I'm a fan of Crick's and actually think he fits well in the Steelers' 3-4, but unless they plan on moving Ziggy Hood to NT, I'd say they're unlikely to draft a 3-4 end for the third year in a row. They drafted Hood in the first two years ago and Heyward last year. I think a true NT (think Ta'Amu) is a more likely choice if they go D-Line that Crick.

How would you like Lamar Miller or Chris Polk?

I could see Miller as a possibility.

Hmnnn, second round is much tougher for me to figure out.Yours looks reasonable but Fleener could go higher.

Here is the top-five players left according to Charlie Casserly.

Casserlys top remaining players left for second round

Here are five players I would target in Round 2:

1. Coby Fleener, TE, Stanford: At 6-foot-6, Fleener will be an asset for any quarterback. This is an athletic, pass-catching tight end who can stretch the field down the middle, posting an unofficial 4.45 40 time during Stanford's pro day. He possesses excellent hands and can adjust to make the difficult catch. Smooth and fluid in his routes, Fleener has fine instincts and always finds a way to get open. As a blocker, he has good balance and competitiveness, though he lacks lower-body strength. His best assets are his size, hands and sense for running routes.

2. Peter Konz, C, Wisconsin: I like his pass-protection ability. He can shuffle and slide his feet and has a good punch. Konz is also an aggressive run blocker who can get some movement. He's very adept at pulling and blocking in space, which is rare for a center. Though he does tend to play a little high and gives up some ground because of that. Even though he blocked well in space, he is not a special athlete. Wherever he ends up, he should start for a long time.

3. Amini Silatolu, OG, Midwestern State: Silatolu dominated Division II competition as an offensive tackle, but he's better suited for guard in the NFL. This is a physical prospect who plays with a nasty streak and just knocked people off the ball at Midwestern State. He has the ability to pull and block at the corner. On pass protection, he shows good slide ability. I don't think he is an NFL OT because he did have some trouble adjusting to the quick inside move. I thought he was the best offensive lineman in drills at the NFL Scouting Combine. It may take him some time to adjust to the game's highest level, but he should be a solid pro player.

4. Cordy Glenn, OT/OG, Georgia: At 6-5, 345 pounds with 35 3/4-inch arms, this is a mass of man. He played all over the line at Georgia, but spent his senior season protecting the blind side at left tackle. I'm not sure he has the change-of-direction ability to play left tackle in the NFL, but he does have good balance and I have seen guys like him play LT in the pros before. Glenn's a strong run blocker who does a good job sustaining in close quarters -- he can definitely hold his ground against the bull rush, too -- but lacks consistency when blocking in space. With Glenn's versatility, I would start him at left tackle and see if he can handle the workload. If that doesn't work out, you can move him to right tackle with the idea he can also play guard. This guy could be a great value in Round 2, as a lot of teams had him slotted for the 15-32 range on Thursday night.

5. Janoris Jenkins, CB, North Alabama: This is based strictly on ability. Simply put, he is the most talented player left on the board. I think he is the second-best cover guy in this draft behind Morris Claiborne. He's had a number of off-field problems and had to play his final college season at North Alabama after getting booted from Florida. At some point, a team will take a chance on him. He is an excellent press player. In man coverage, I see a guy who can make the quick turns and sudden moves to cover successfully. He is undisciplined at times in his coverage and will guess, but he's very good at playing the ball. Personally, I would not draft him because of all the baggage, but Jenkins is a first-round talent.
I kinda agree with Charlie's list and even the exact same order that he has them.I know the Browns were trying to get back into the first round and that rumors were flying that they were high on him.

Those same rumor mills were pumping out that T-Rich was the pick at #4 and that the Browns were high on Weeden so I'm pretty sure Fleener is rated high on some boards and could go in the top-five picks in the second round.

I'd pass on an RB until at least the 4th. Steelers have more pressing needs. I'd rather see another OG or OT than an RB.

I'd love to see Green Bay get a guy like Konz or Lamar Miller. They really do lack skill at RB despite the dominance of the offense.

If Coby Fleener, TE, Stanford could fall to the Cards in the 3rd round i would be estatic....I am not holding my breath....

The Browns had interest in, Glenn and Fleener, but many fans have Hill high on their list. Ofcourse Heckertt has shown he is a gutless pig so he will probably give up the Browns next ten first-round draft picks to move up one spot for a long snapper so I truly expect the Browns to blow this pick as well so plug in the absolute worst possibility for Cleveland.
Some things never change... :hophead:

Osweuler at 57 to Denver also seems like a no brainer.
That would be a horrible pick. They need guys to help them win now, otherwise Manning is for nothing.

I've never gotten the feeling the Ravens were that excited about Konz. The highest Ozzie has ever picked a Center was 56th, taking Chris Chester who was a hybrid C/G and he was kind of a bust. And he used a 92nd pick on Casey Rabach, who was decent. I just don't see anyway he uses the 35th pick in the draft on a center.

I could see them taking Upshaw, Stephen Hill, or maybe even trading back down again.

The Carroll County Times confirms that the Ravens displayed "consistent interest" in Wisconsin G/C Peter Konz throughout the pre-draft period.Konz was a visitor at Ravens headquarters, and they kept tabs on him from January through late April. SI's Tony Pauline has reported that Konz will be the Ravens' primary fallback option if Boise State LB Shea McClellin isn't available at the 29th pick. Konz would likely start at left guard in Baltimore. Apr. 26
Sounds like you're pretty plugged in.

Ooookay, so my OTTOMH swing at some names and approximate positions for round two...1/(33). Rams - Cordy Glenn - OT, GeorgiaTrade - 9/(41). Bills - Jonathan Martin - OT, Stanford
I'd be very happy if the Bills ended up with Martin, but I'm not sure that they need to trade up to get him. That, and there are several OTs and WRs the Bills could use here -- I think I'd rather that they hold on to their picks. But hey, if Nix thinks one of these guys is clearly the guy to get, that's fine too.
