Just curious about strategies regarding choosing starters based on other players in your lineup or you opponents.
Specifically:
does your opponent's QB ever influence your choice of receiver (if they play for the same team)?
Does your opponent's WR ever influence your choice of QB?
do you have a problem starting multiple players on the same team for fear of them vulturing each other (RB and WR on same team)?
With regard to the last question...
To apply this to one situation, I'm considering starting a different RB (KJ or Jacobs) instead of S. Young because their outlooks seem similar and I'm starting Brandon Marshall. If one player has a big day, it would likely come at the expense of the other, but they each seem like reasonable starters if not in the same lineup.
I had another team that was loaded with Steelers (Big Ben, FWP, Heath Miller, Hines Ward), and though at times they all seemed like good plays individually, starting them all ensured that I was going to start at least one player who would tank, and required a MONSTER game from the team to get only decent numbers. Seems like having a more diverse lineup allows more goal line opportunities. If three players on your team are all battling for the same TD, the opportunity to score is really only applicable to one of them (except the QB, whose TDs are typically discounted a bit). Would you start a lesser player at a given position to avoid a situation like this?
What sit/start decisions for one player might you consider based largely on the other players in a fantasy matchup?
