Serious Biz Dynasty - Eephus is year 18 champion - League is full for 2026 (5 Viewers)

I'm assuming nobody wants to keep the status quo re: hitting stats locking when IP limits are reached but I guess I better ask.

Re: position games limits. We have two against so far so there's some opposition.

Let's just make this a yes/no for everybody. Should we set a max 162 games/season limit for every hitting position?

Yes:
No: Pik (goat?), rodg

Looks like Fantrax has locked this year's league.

If anybody was holding off til the last minute to make any off-season adds, they'll have to wait until I renew the league and set up the Year 17 site.

I changed the option for what happens when the IP limit is exceeded.

From:
The entire team will stop accumulating stats for the rest of the season. If the max has not been met or exceeded at the beginning of a day, stats will accumulate throughout that entire day, even if the max is exceeded.

To:
All hitters or pitchers (both SP and RP), depending on the scoring category exceeded, will stop accumulating stats for the rest of the season. If the max has not been met or exceeded at the beginning of a day, stats will accumulate throughout that entire day, even if the max is exceeded. Note that ALL pitchers includes both SP and RP. For example, if a max is exceeded for Relief Appearances, stats will stop accumulating for the rest of the season for Relief Pitchers (RP) as well as Starting Pitchers (SP).

My read on the latter is that hitting stats stop accumulating if one position exceeds the set maximum. Since this is the case, I'm changing my vote on the 162 game limit from Yes to No.

Unfortunately I’m also now a no vote for game limits. Thanks for looking into this, and all the fine commish work you do.

So if we use hitting max games all the stats stop accumulating once one position limit is reached? Is that what I read?

If a maximum has been met or exceeded:
Do nothing.
The entire team will stop accumulating stats for the rest of the season. If the max has not been met or exceeded at the beginning of a day, stats will accumulate throughout that entire day, even if the max is exceeded.
The entire team loses all stats and goes to the bottom of the standings. If the max has not been met or exceeded at the beginning of a day, stats will accumulate throughout that entire day, even if the max is exceeded, and the team will not lose any stats.

New Year's bump (from the middle of page 1)

Protected lists are due Feb 13th which is the Tuesday after the Super Bowl.

We're protecting 25 again this year unless there's a groundswell of support to increase to 26.
I’d request a bump to 26 again. Not sure where everyone else stands.

I’d be a yes vote. Not an issue I’m super passionate about, but I like the MLB symmetry and in theory I think it helps me out (in practice that #26 guy I hate to lose every year never seems to do much).

I'm a no on 26. I doubt there's a huge marginal difference but I think a shorter protected list is better for competitive balance.

My roster is also weaker than it's been in years so I'm looking forward to poaching some talent.

I'd be a "yes" on 26 simply because it aligns with MLB which is why we were at 25 in the first place. I also agree it isn't a huge deal, either way.

Just for fun, this is where we are now.

I'll go ahead and post my list too.

Always open to trade talk, but right now I don't have any glaring holes to fill or enough prospect capital to do anything spicy.

Mine's not final yet at all but I think I might be ripe for losing some players for the first time in a while, I feel like no matter what I'll be leaving some useful pieces or prospects unprotected. Hit me up if you see a trade/want to jump the queue on any of these guys.
