My biggest grievance with this league has always been the lack of trade offers and general trade activities. I assume it's because all you nerds are in multiple leagues, but this has been my only league for probably the last ten years and I need more action.

It wasn't awful. I believe I included the top prospect at his position, Bello who finished the year strong, and a third guy who was decent. I'll have to look again. Point is, I would have liked a serious counter. I mean, everyone has a price. My complaint is that half this league has zero interest in some good back and forth for a deal that helps both. It's always the same 2-3 guys that will engage.

We offered Altuve and Thiero Estrada for Matt McClain last week. I thought that was really strong. Because Eephus saw we were looking to deal, he came back and got Eloy for his extra 1B. It's not that hard.

Obviously I wasn't expecting you to just accept. But those were guys with value (Bello especially) to get something working. I was openly shopping Xavier, but included Rooker there instead for some reason.

What is the percieved schtick? That I don't always offer trades I expect to be accepted right off? As I have said a million times, some are just trying to see if anyone is even home. I have no idea who people like. We dropped Darvish and wanted to curb stomp that whip killer six months ago. And he just went here in round one. Obviously I have no idea how the average FBG's brain works.

One more quick point. I'll admit I spend WAY more time crafting my offers to Eephus, FDAS, and NV for example. The reason is I know they will not only look at it, but also respond, and even counter it IN A TIMELY MANNER. I have sent offers a year ago that never even got responded to. I was offering for old broken guys and couldn't even get a response. So why would I spend much time trying to balance it perfectly?

I probably shouldn't even bother sending offers anymore and just treat it like a best ball league like some others seem to do. If anyone has a league like this but with everyone active in trades let me know. I do love the format.
