Serious Biz Dynasty - Eephus is year 18 champion - League is full for 2026 (4 Viewers)

If Fantrax allows, I think we'll do the first waivers run on Monday.  I don't want to catch anyone out who's away for the weekend.

I have no idea what time of day Fantrax runs waivers.
So Tuesday?

In case it's at 2am.

Cheese still needs to make his drop.

I'll post all the ***official details after the transactions policy has been updated.  It's been a while since the Gobbler but I'm pretty sure Fantrax allows commissioners to set the days of waivers runs.

Cool :oldunsure:

I lost Manea, Segura, and Gary ####### Sanchez. I chose Eovaldi and Stroman over Manea. Six of one, half dozen of the other.

Segura I scooped up on waivers last year, he was a great contributor to my championship squad. Chose Nicky Lopez over him, because this is a dynasty league.

I was shocked someone took Gary Sanchez. I thought I robbed Sparty five years ago getting Sanchez and change for Sal Perez. Think Sparty snd I have made a half dozen trades, he won this one but we’re even over the years.

I ended up taking all three of them. LOL

Nicely met my needs going into the draft. Desperately needed SP and Manaea was the best available. Segura is an upgrade over Cesar Hernandez. Gary an upgrade over Yadi until Adley gets called up. Plus I’ve always loved Gary and was bummed when the Yanks traded him. :homer:

Wee Willy Adames is on the block.  We will start Adames at UTIL, but we could use another OF and someone may be desperate at SS.  He will probably be the NL MVP this year if we trade him.  🙂

When I was a kid, we couldn't afford NESN. It kinda suxored, but we made the best of it by watching every awful Braves game on TBS, which was free.  We also watched the Atlanta Hawks with Nique and Spud, but that's a whole other thing.

I was really sad when Pete and Skip retired/passed fifteen years ago.  The Vin Scully retirement has been rough for me in a similar way.  I wached every Dodgers game for as long as the MLB package has been out.

My point of this long winded ramble is that It was REALLY great to wake up today to Chip Caray's voice. He was doing the Braves game which was on the MLB network.  I get them on the package still sometimes.  There are not many things you can depend on in 2022, and it brings me great joy to have had the Caray's with me for pretty much every season of my baseball life.  Today is a good day.

Waivers ran as scheduled but I don't think they were processed in the correct order because the waivers order hasn't unchanged.  If anybody has a gripe, please let me know and I'll see if I can piece together what happened.

I may have to manually edit the waivers order again so the teams who haven't executed claims yet go to the top of the waivers order.

FCFS is open for everybody else

I've corrected the waivers wire order based on the awarded claims from last night.

To test if waivers are functioning properly now, could I ask a few of you to put in claims on Beycker Baroso who clears waivers tonight.  I'll revert the change and the waivers order afterwards. TIA

We have been down a roster spot for the last 3-5 years with this guy.  R.I.P.

MESA, Ariz. - A’s right-hander Brent Honeywell Jr. will be shut down from throwing indefinitely with an elbow issue, trainer Nick Paparesta said Monday.

Paparesta said Honeywell has a stress reaction in the olecranon bone of his elbow. Honeywell reported weakness in his elbow after his last Cactus League outing and had an MRI and CT scan that showed the issue, Paparesta said.

The 26-year-old Honeywell has a history of arm injuries, including four surgeries from 2018-2020 while in the Rays system. Coming into camp, he was seen as a rotation candidate.

Honeywell tore his UCL in February 2018 and had Tommy John surgery. He was working back from that surgery when he fractured a bone in his elbow - the medial epicondyle - throwing in June 2019.

Honeywell had two elbow procedures in 2020 but returned to pitch a full season last year. He made his major-league debut April 11, one of three 2021 appearances for the Rays, and spent most of the season with Triple-A Durham, posting a 3.97 ERA in 81 ⅔ innings.

Paparesta said that Honeywell’s previous elbow injuries did not involve the olecranon bone. Honeywell asked to have his elbow scans sent to Dr. Neal ElAttrache, who performed his last two surgeries.

Waivers experiment was successful. Kraft won and Beycker Baroso survived.  Waivers ran about five hours earlier than I expected which may be because Baroso was just added to the database.

One minor change from CBS is that we can view unsuccessful claims for the whole league under "Transaction History"

Anyone want to talk some trade?  We have prospects for days, and MI depth.  Need an outfielder mostly.  Text talk is fine if interested.  Hit me up.

Since my reboot my team always has the same issue: pitching injuries

Starting year down Lynn and McCullers making a guy a got off waivers in September (Verlander) my #2.

No chance I repeat. :coffee:

Anyone want to trade us a vet for prospect deal?  Maybe a top prospect for a vet?  Anyone starting a rebuild that has some old dudes that still produce?  Talk to us.
