Get a maid..
The wife is a clean freak and insisted on cleaning the house way more than I wanted to, just got sick of the complaining and finally got a maid to come.

It costs $80 a visit and they clean toilets, bathtub, scrub sinks, clean floors, make beds, fold some stuff, light dusting, etc..Some of the best non-essential money I spend, would gladly eat out once less every couple weeks to cover this expense.

They come every 2 weeks or so, the house is pretty much clean all the time.

I recommend this video to fatties and people who have kids:

I found the longer lecture informational but here is a shorter 60 Minutes segment on this topic:

And a Canadian program on what is in processed food that is killing Americans:

I found the magic of Bar Keepers Friend. I had a porcelain sink that had some stains and scuffs I could never get out, did some research, and found that BKF was supposed to be good at restoring porcelain and stainless steel. Used it this afternoon and the sink looks brand new. I'm not a fan of chemical-laden cleaners, but when they restore an ugly sink to new, bring it on!

This one is amazing:

For dirty drip pans and grates on your stovetop - take each piece and put it in a gallon sized Ziploc bag with a tablespoon of ammonia. Let it rest overnight. Rinse/gently wipe off the next day. Stuff comes right off.

I have a problem with a house in which someone installed a light fixture where a ceiling fan used to be. The only on/off switch used to be the pull chain for the ceiling fan, so now, as a result, there is no on/off switch for the light fixture - it just stays on 24/7. I've been asked to find a solution to the problem. The fixture kind of looks like this.

Unscrew the lightbulb when you desire darkness.

Put in a switch for it

Find what else is on the circuit and cut in a switch.

Any particular reason you were asked?  I can't imagine it's because you have a rep as being 'handy'?

No, but the reason I asked you guys was in case there was some kind of wireless option or gadget I was overlooking.
Honestly, screw it up and you might burn the house down.  Time to call an electrician

edit to add - it's already screwed up.  If I lived there with my kids I wouldn't wait a week before calling
