Shared family grocery list app (1 Viewer)

Looking for any recommendations on an app (iphone) that my family can use to coordinate a single grocery list.  We have 4 phones, and I would like each of us to be able to access the list and make edits, and then have that list updated on each of our phones.  I'd prefer a free app, and don't mind having ads, but if a paid one is much better then I'd consider that.

So far, my brief internet search has found Our Groceries Shopping List, AnyList and the Cozi Family Organizer.  The Cozi app will also let my family create a common schedule that we can all access, which is pretty cool, but it is a paid app.

Thanks.

We use Our Groceries.... but only because we have had it for so long, otherwise we would just use Google Keep.

My wife does the shopping.  The rest of us just want the ability to add to her shopping list as we think about stuff to get.  I didn't even think of a Google spreadsheet.  I have no idea how it works, but that could be a good solution.

Cozi is free.
I think the basic function is free, and the ability to share the app (i.e. email it to someone else) is also free.  But if you want real-time editing capabilities, I think you have to pay.  I may be wrong, though.

Group text? Give one of the children the chore of keeping the list updated and ready for Momma deuce on shopping day.

'Buy me a pie' works great for us.  It's shareable, saves previously bought items to make it easier for future list building, auto-syncs between devices, etc.

I use google keep and I second the recommendations to just use a shared list app where you can just type stuff in with checkboxes rather than an actual shared grocery app.  The problem with the grocery apps I've had is that they try to search for the item as you're typing it in, which slows down your typing and is just a PITA.  I just want to type "eggs".  I don't need you to stop me at "eg" while you pull up the listing of 300 different types of eggs that I have to pick from.

If you have a specific grocery store you shop at, check to see if they have an app. Wegman's works well for this.

Love the Wegmans App; I really like being able to use my phone and scan the UPC of most any product and if it's available there, and Presto! its on the list. The list is kept in order based on the store you are linked to. It also gives you prices based on that store. If you switch stores on the app, the list is reorganized. Sweet. It is also cloud based, so lists are available on any device.
