Shark Pool Blind Consensus Draft (1 Viewer)

Here's the idea.

Send me a PM with your favorite team as the topic.

Make a list of five players that your team will legitimately have a chance to draft in April's first round. (If your team picks 17, don't list Andrew Luck)

Prioritize those players in order of who you think your team will draft.

I will compile a 1 round mock draft based on your opinions.

I will accept PMs until 5:00 PM EST on Wednesday.

I will attempt to keep my inbox empty to allow PMs to go through.

The results of the blind draft will be posted on Friday.

Nice thread Yellowdog. I always liked seeing this kind of input from the beat writers for each team to get a feel for the draft. All goes to hell quickly once the draft starts regardless.

I need:

Coltss

Rams

Vikings

Jags

Dolphins

Panthers

Seahawks

Chiefs

Cardinals

Eagles

Titans

Lions

Broncos

Texans

Packers

Ravens

49ers

Giants

If any of these are your favorite teams, send me a list.

I think I can handle the Colts on my own. I would like to get 2 or 3 lists for the Rams to get this thing rolling.

what if you posted as you go if you get to a certain team and stop for a little with it on that team I would be happy to give you a list on what I think. It is hard for say a team like the Packers where I really have no idea what they are looking for and who is around at that point in the draft.

Good idea.Once I get some Rams folks to chime in, I'll post up to the Jags at #7, then go from there.

I know BlackJacks posted up in the Mock thread that he wanted Kalil.

Let's go with the first 11:

1. Indianapolis Colts - Andrew Luck, QB - Stanford

2. St. Louis Rams - Justin Blackmon, WR - Ok. St.

3. Minnesota Vikings - Matt Kalil, OT - USC

4. Cleveland Browns - Trent Richardson, RB - Alabama

5. Tampa Bay Bucs - Morris Claiborne, CB - LSU

6. Washington Redskins - RG3, QB - Baylor

7. Jacksonville Jaguars - Quinton Coples, DE - North Carolina

8. Miami Dolphins - Riley Reiff, OT - Iowa

9. Carolina Panthers - Dre Kirkpatrick, CB - Alabama

10. Buffalo Bills - Courtney Upshaw, OLB - Alabama

11. Seattle Seahawks - Luke Kuechly, ILB - Boston College

Based on NFL.COM mock draft central consensus

just like for the NFL draft I think #2 is going to be highly debated. Jason Smith has absolutely not worked out for them at all. If it were me I think Kalil has to be the pick to protect Bradford. Get Lloyd resigned and see who is available at the top of rnd 2. CBS.com is split and two other places I looked have Kalil...just trade down just enough to get Rieff and accumulate picks.

Interesting note on the Jets (#16) upcoming pick; Of the 2 lists and 11 names submitted, only one was the same. And he has already been selected.(Kuechly)

Cardinals Thoughts --

Not a Cardinals fan, but live in AZ and listen to the local sports talk scene... yada yada yada.

They are looking at Offensive Line first and foremost.

If he's there, they want DeCastro #1, if DeCastro is off the board then Jonathon Martin would be #2 choice.

If those 2 are gone, i'd start to look at what available WRs are out there to complement Fitz.

If Decastro, Martin, and any top decent WR's are gone, they could use an upgrade to ILB or DE.

This is a great idea, but we can't take into the fact players who may drop. If Devon Still drops to 19, the Bears would snatch him in a heart beat, I didn't put him my top 5 because I figure he will go in the top 10 easy.

Agreed. It would work better if I did the teams 5 at a time and work my way through. But, given the lack of responses, the real draft would have been over before we completed this one.

No Floyd? Rather have him than Wright for Bears
I had a list for the Bears, and they preferred Wright. :shrug:I forgot about Floyd when I made a pick for Houston. I'll go back and plug him in there.

That was me, I personally love Wright over Floyd as a WR over all, but looking back the Brears would most likely take Floyd over Wright because he is a bigger posseion reciever they need not a better Knox/Hester clone. I would have taken the DT for Penn State 1st if I knew he would have been available.

Reports from senior bowl is Dennard is looking like a late round pick. Being short and slow is not a good combo for a corner.
