Shark Pool mock draft picks (1 Viewer)

1.32 Indianapolis Colts, Gabe Watson, DT, MichiganDungy continues to piece together a defense reminiscent of his days in Tampa Bay. Watson is a mammoth DT/NG, something missing in Indy right now, and situationally he'll be a run stuffer from day 1.eta: I wanted to see this finished before we had the order wrong. Feel free to comment on your favorite or any teams needs if you think I missed something, or not.

Glad to see I get to make this pick
Sorry. I did add:eta: I wanted to see this finished before we had the order wrong. Feel free to comment on your favorite or any teams needs if you think I missed something, or not.

The purpose of these, I thought, was to generate discussion and get more information. You can make that pick. Anyone can make any pick. If you had a better idea for Indy, cool. Please share. I'll happily put your pick in in place of mine for the Colts, and that goes for anyone else who got skipped.

What to the Colts need? LBs and Safeties are tough. Corners are ??? DLine is very solid. Maybe that should have been a corner.

Care to discuss, or just

 ?

It's cool that you want to keep this thing moving, we all appreciate that. I do have to admit though, I'm glad that nobody picked for me. There's an element to this mock of people making the GM decisions for the teams they've drawn for themselves.. not getting the decisions made for them. Hence the reason that people picked teams to begin with. If somebody is going to pick for everyone else, what's the point in even naming an order?

Back up to 29,,,,, The Bengals select

Darnell Bing S USC
I edited that. Good pick. I went with the TE because I think he is a sure first rounder, but Bing could be put to better use. All the interceptions sort of made me ignore the secondary, but they have issues at safety.Anyone skipped want to fix my picks, please do.

Why did Chaos pick for me (Giants)?
Because I was an impatient jerk this morning. I have apologized. :bag: The draft order will be changed after today, so I just wanted to take it to it's completion. It was going sooo slow. Still that's no excuse. Sorry again. Please draft whoever you would have (even if he went after your spot). Thanks. gocats did and it was painless. I haven't updated the running list and do not consider my picks official. We can fix my inconsiderate-ness.

For the Giants I see areas of concern all over the team. OL really could be addressed. 3/4 decent to good players but all have started for several years. Toomer and Barber are 30-31 so addressing skill positions could be a good idea. A better FS and CB would be good. The OLB psoition opposite Emmons is a big concern. DT would be where I would go if Wright hadn't been drafted.

So Rodrique Wright DT Texas if Carolina switches picks.

With the 28th pick in the NYGiants select Tye Hill CB Clemson.

I would like to surround Eli Manning with more talent but this is the pick that needs to be made. It is a deep year for OL and perhaps a good OG will fall to the NYG in the 2nd round.

Will Allen is currently being paired up with Curtis Deloatch. Rookie C Webster seems to be the top backup. Frank walters and terell buckley are also around. If the CB from Kansas comes out then this may be the pick. The NYG's DL is good at getting after the QB and this will make them even better.

1.27 Carolina Panthers Rodrique Wright, DT, Texas

Kris Jenkins injury problem and Brentson Buckners mediocre play makes this pick not only the best player available, but fills a need too.
Sorry for missing my pick. I've had exams past two days and thought I would be able to log on and pick, but have had some computer difficulties and no time to fix them. I'll be available for 2nd round pick should we go there. For what its worth, I DEFINITELY think Panthers take Wright if he is available. I don't think he will drop but he is definitely taken if there. The play of Carstens especially and even Moorehead this year have made the Panthers very happy with DT depth, but a starter to line up next to Jenks when Buckner retires after this year or next is definitely needed. Wright would be a steal this late IMO.

The San Diego Chargers select --- Derek Hagan, WR Arizona St.

The Chargeres need a play maker on the outside with McCardell up in age and Parker/Caldwell not really developing. Hagan has great overall skills.

I think the Chargers move in the draft using Rivers as a bargaining tool to land a top OT prospect and then acquiring WR help later.
I think the Chargers improve their defensive backfield. At this point, it would probably be Tye Hill. Still, Hagan is a need pick too. They just need more help on D than O.
I don't consider WR a need pick at all. Basically SD is running KC's offense with the TE as the #1 WR. Parker and Caldwell are doing a decent job and they are still developing Vincent Jackson. I will guarantee the Chargers pick will not be WR and it will be OL or DB unless there is a huge value and they take BPA.

I edited it. I almost made the same pick. It makes sense.
