Pittsburgh has been stout against the run, but look at these injuries on D

B. McFadden CB - OUT

C. Hampton DT - OUT

T. Polamalu S - OUT

Anyone else think Alexander may have a good day without Troy and Casey in there?

I'm not expecting it...but am hoping for the best. I see about 80 yards and am praying for a TD.

Intriguing post. I was thinking about sitting Alexander this week, even though Edge did ok against Pitt last week.

Thank you for posting this. I had absolutely no idea that this many guys were out on Pitt's D.I considered sitting SA but this helps me make up my mind.

Just heard on ESPN that Hampton and Polamalu are GTD, but are not expected to play. Regardless, this is good news for us Alexander owners.

SA won't get to 70 yds, and I doubt he scores today...regardless of Pitt's injuries. Have you watched him run this year? Well, if you can actually call what he does "running." He's tentative, and even more of a wuss than he's shown in the past. I wish he wouldn't have fallen to me at pick 1.08 where I felt I just couldn't pass him up....

Alexander lost at least 1 1/2 steps this season , i dont expect him to do anything vs the Steelers .

You can stick a fork in Alexander.

Let's stick a fork in LJ too among others right?Slow start, that's all
I dont think it s a slow start ( LJ still has all the tools you can see it ) but Alexander is so slow ( He has never been really fast ) but he looks so sllloowwwwww .
I think he's also playing it safe, protecting himself a bit so he can collect on that fat contract he got after the Super Bowl 2 seasons ago... I can't be too mad, I guess, w/ my luck, my dumb ### would've taken Maroney if SA was gone; at least w/ SA I know I'm gonna get 7-10 pts most weeks....yeah, that doesn't really make me feel better.

with it looking like Addai os out this week, I am pleasantly surprised by this news as I have SA going with MBIII

I could see 70-80 yards and a TD.

Alexander does look like he has slowed, but he still knows what he's doing around the goal line and Seattle will move the ball today. 56yds, 2TDs

I absolutely think SA should perform well against a depleted pitt d. a d is nothing more than the sum of it's parts, the best of which are out today.
The Steelers have given up one 100 yard rusher in forever. They will likely overload against the run and allow Hassle and co. to beat them.I hope not though, Im a SA owner and a Steeler fanatic.

That looks about right.Ill be shocked if the Steelers win without the heart and soul of their team. (Polamalu, Hampton, Ward)
