Lions welcome back Rogers
Defensive tackle returns from suspension, but he likely won't play Thursday, Marinelli says.
ALLEN PARK -- Defensive tackle Shaun Rogers returned to the Lions on Monday after a four-game suspension and was in a playful mood.
"Hey, baby," Rogers screamed while hugging teammates and shaking hands. "How ya been?"
Although Rogers is back, he is not expected to play against the Dolphins on Thursday at Ford Field.
The Lions have only one practice day, and there is concern Rogers might re-injure his right knee and miss more time.
Coach Rod Marinelli said the team plans to examine Rogers' knee again today to see how sound it is before making a decision.
